Are you not thinking about Half Life: Source? Black Mesa is a full remake.

Black Mesa is a really good remake in my opinion even considering how they redesigned a couple of levels. The soundtrack is also pretty good. They pushed back Xen again but taking into account how this mod has been in development since 2004 I don't see that as a big surprise. Anyway the autumn sale is over OP so you missed that train.

They've just postponed Xen release again, and they're supposedly developing it since 2012.

Xen became Duke Nukem Forever at this point.

I played the 2012 release for at least a hundred hours, I got to know that game really really well. It was a pretty good game, I really liked the way the Xenians were handled, they did a good job carrying over and enhancing the 'mysterious' feel from HL1. Had some severe balance issues but still worth your time.

I'm still pissed they started charging for it. The original release stated that all future versions would be FREE, but they shamelessly backtracked on it. I don't care how much they've improved it, they made a fucking promise.
