you're better off getting a 144hz monitor with dvi support. this monitor is a little outdated, but still usable. I wouldn't waste money on it, myself, but I am spoiled running games above 100fps.

They're okay but they do have issues when it comes to backlight bleed according to a fair number of people.
I have a 144 HZ 1080p one from 'em and its working out nicely for me but the color calibration was a minor nuisance. I'm no monitor aficionado though so take that with a grain of salt

Also, most modern games suck, and the ones that really need updated hardware suck the most. I've been trying to justify upgrading my old ass rig for years and I still see no reason to.
