I played Trickster online and farmed a boss for about 1 year or so. He dropped a whole set of items each piece at a very low drop chance. Most people would take 200 kills to get their first piece. I got the weapon I wanted at 1200 kills or so, and I felt so dead on the inside that I didnt even feel any joy or relief, I just kept doing it. Also, that boss could only be accessed once every hour for a 20 minute timeframe, and the trial to enter the boss involved a sodoku puzzle for which I knew all the solutions by heart and also a literal coinflip at the end.
I eventually stopped at 2300 kills or so and was the person with the most kills on that boss for a good while.

Back when Skyrim was first released, I went to autistic lengths to uncover the secrets of every alchemy ingredient. I knew there were in game hints like random scraps of paper you could find with recipes scrawled on them, and I also knew that you could use perks in the alchemy tree to acquire a skill that lets you automatically know an ingredient's properties by eating it, but I ignored all that shit. I got a notebook, wrote down every new ingredient I came across, used it to make potions, and wrote about my findings. This amounts to nothing more than an extremely long process of elimination, because two ingredients that don't match will create nothing.
If nothing else, it made me dedicate myself to earning my understanding of alchemy. In some way, that is conducive to role playing.

I once beat him with a caterpie that was only like one hit away from death because he kept using bind, but it did nothing because I always responded by using string shot. Then, when he tried to use tackle, it would miss every time because his accuracy was so low, and I just tackled him to death. I won, and right after the fight, the caterpie got enough experience to skip metapod's evolution and go straight to butterfree.

Roleplaying requires other people, it has always required other people. Proper role-playing games are about character interaction, and single player games have weak character interaction with only a few predetermined dialogue options. Even NPCs in a proper RPG have sentience, as they are controlled by the GM. Normalfags think that roleplaying is just playing pretend, but it isn't.

No it isn't. Roleplaying is a dynamic, freeform and collaborative form of storytelling. "Roleplaying" in a singleplayer game is honestly quite a sad idea, as it provides none of the enjoyment of proper roleplaying, and it hampers the enjoyment of the game's actual system by applying baseless, ethereal rules to the game, such as having to eat food or rest exclusively in taverns or houses. These things have no impact on the game; your make-belief does not change anything, the NPCs in your playthrough will act the same across all playthroughs.

I wouldn't think so. It's a fairly extreme example. Though ambidexterity isn't really the thing, since from my understanding, those instances often have more to do with a lack of dominance than being fully dominant.
The "off balance" aspects, though, definitely fall under the same category. It's something that someone who actually knows shit in the field could give more information on, but all I have is passing factoids on it, from having family members who worked special education. Strictly speaking, this is the sort of thing that should be addressed from a really young age, but God knows modern educators are too incompetent to manage that.
