Even if the platform is old or modern, what is your most favorite game per platform? I personally played on a lot of systems, but even I have a hard time picking out which were my Most favorites. Only for the following 6 systems was I sure for which ones I liked the most:

PS2 - Shadow of the Colossus

PS1 - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

N64 - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

SNES - Super Metroid

NES - Super Mario Bros. 3

Genesis - Sonic the Hedgehog 2

I don't know what you consider a game on a platform since their is so much cross polination, with the inferior version of a game being the most popular usually (Resident Evil 4 selling twice as much on PS2) or better versions being available like Uncharted 1-3 getting rid of motion controls, tightening up the aiming, and doubling the framerate on PS4 or Ico/Shadow of the Collosus actually running normal on PS3. I'll give it a go though.
