They are usually cash grabs with really questionable quality. I don't need anyone catering to me, there are plenty of good Japanese VNs that are of my taste, hell, just look at the PC-98 games, and if you know japanese you're set for a lifetime.

How the hell did you reach the conclusion that there are more otome games than other VNs? Consult VNDB and take a look for yourself.
