I'm playing this, and getting pretty pissed at the first mission boss. Is every fucking fight in this game going to be a 15-minute endurance test where you land a single hit then back the fuck away or am I just not understanding something? My damage against him is pathetic even with living weapon and even though I put most of my levels into body he can still kill me in one hit.

I'm a fucking gnat's dick away from just looking up a glass cannon odachi build.

Replaying F.E.A.R and the Xpacks,starting to replay 2, all on the hardest difficulty with no slowmo, which is starting to look like a bad idea when it comes to 2

Kinda having audio mixing issues and weird graphical/physics issues I've never seen prior to this time, still having fun though.

I don't know, I arrived at this fight with plenty of damage. I guess you just have to get that this game isn't so much stats based than diablo gear based. I'm at the ruined water temple currently, playing it by candlelight is pretty damn nice and the game pushes all kinds of buttons for me. I'm really glad it came on PC I'll tell ya what.

Also I guess a complaint I would have is that I don't find myself using the ki pulse very much. I mean, I do take advantage of the attack boost and such, but in many situations I just need to get the fuck away stat, not get some stamina.

Finally, what are those torches I'm lighting up about, makes the boss easier or something?

In a similar boat with Nioh, just beat the third level and am sort of interested but not particularily motivated to complete it, does it pick up at any point? not really sure I can be committed to beating it right now and come back to it later.

I think I've settled on a kusarigama as my main with sword as my secondary, I had some trouble deciding which weapons to use.

Honestly I'd say you're either hooked by the variant on dank soles right away or you're not. It won't change for being diablo loot-based, it's not going to become a big interconnected world, and I'm pretty certain at this point you'll always be just a hair's breadth of being two-shotted by anything.

The one thing I do expect to change is the story starting to suck off Tokugawa's dick with some malarkey like "muh age of peace" and no acknowledgement of his most jewish tendencies whatsoever
