Do you ever dig among the shovelware on steam, searching for interesting stuff you never heard about?

This thread already died.

Best $0.10 I ever spent, and I made $0.12 from selling the trading cards.

All the time. Usually can find a little something that's fun, and the best part is I can return them if they're above 3 bucks and only last ~1 hour.

I hope you don't actually buy any shit you see on steam.

>buy anything remotely interesting under a dollar during sales

>use the card money from those games to buy more games under a dollar

>use those to buy more again

It is a vicious cycle. There are some nice one-man projects here and there though. Malebolgia is pretty cool.

I can't be the only one who played this. The dialogue is hilarious at times but most of the times its weird.

Yes. It's hell. But if you like roguelikes, shmups, platformers, or turn-based RPGs–all of them 2D and never 3D–you're probably having a grand old time. I don't play 2D games made after 1998, so for me, the only real effect is that I now have to wade through oceans of shit to find the good stuff.

I found a flash-tier game called Turmoil, about laying oil pipes into the ground. It's a side-view and the goal is to collect it at a manageable rate and put it into trucks that go between RED oil company and BLUE oil company, which both constantly change their prices. It's kind of arcadey in that regard.

I think it was $10? I would recommend it in the $4-$5 range, it kept me busy for a day

I found a bunch of Silden budget shooters, some nobody Polish company that also makes childrens games and farm simulators, both also at shovelware level. I'm talking "reuse the same models, animations, and even music" level. Manhunter was surprisingly decent. For some reason most of the games they actually try something different with and have different weapons and animations are all on other platforms.

I think I saw this one on one of those "trippy games" charts
