I just now figured out how to use Nova: it's all about stacking your abilities. Which is kind of shit when you think about it:

Nova is a very squishy frame, but excels at taking out larger groups of people.

Her 1 needs people in her own proximity.

Her 2 is pretty hard to utilize without the syndicate mod, but is an AoE bomb.

Her 3 is only useful for teammates, you can't make enemies port into cliffs afaik.

And her 4th ability I like to call "The Triggering", needs large hordes of enemies in a (surprisingly) small space to be effective.

I really want to like her, but she's not making it easy.

You nigs seem to be a bit confused here, allow me to clarify:

To enter the Derelict missions you need a "Derelict Mission Key" like "Orokin Derelict Defense key" for a defense mission.

That key is consumed when used an only the person who initiates the mission needs one.

They are also dirt cheap to make and the blueprints for them can be bought from the market.

Also, every mission other than Assassination & Defense also spawns what is known as "Orokin Vault". This vault requires one of the 4 "Dragon Keys" to open, and it is always random which one. Opening the vault and grabbing the thing inside will award a random corrupted mod at the end of the mission.

You can also only have one of the 4 "Dragon Keys" equipped and all of them have their own negative effects (slow, damage reduction, no shields, ect).

If you are going for the octavia piece it can drop from survival at 20,40,60, min mark.

You do not need the dragon keys unless you are going for the vault. (And you should run capture missions for those, not survival)

It's more exclusive mastery coming back to the game. Snipetron has been retired from the game for a long period of time (replaced with the Lanka) and has only been brought back a couple times for tac alerts. i built a second zaw first one was with tier 1 parts and turned out to be a staff, not my favorite weapon category by a long shot using stuff from tier 2 and tier 3. i went with the "heavy blade" looking fucker at tier 3 and did what i could to guarantee i would get a 1h sword and i did.

i then went for a damage/crit-focused counterweight, and what seemed to be a mid-road link, for a total of heavy damage/slow attack speed on the blade, damage/crit on the CW at the expense of status/speed, and no obvious modifiers on the link. ended up with a slowish 1h sword that has a cumulative total of ~300 base melee damage unbuffed 100ish slash, 80ish puncture, 30ish impact on top of 10% status and a native 32% crit after gilding.

with primed fury and berserker, the attack speed becomes pretty quick and the damage starts to ramp up pretty easily. i only have Vengeful Revenant for a V stance right now, but i imagine with Crimson Dervish this thing would probably be sortie-worthy the way it is now.

Like the other anon said, banshee is an amazing damage buffer, but she needs team mates to back her up or she'll get annihilated. Zephyr is a good "tank" frame and has some interesting movement. She also has a niche with any projectile weapon, as she has an augment that increases her movement and projectile speed. Nezha is an okay starter tank, but again you'd be better off with rhino.

So i was looking up what i need to get in order to build mesa and i am a bit shocked.

Am i being retarded or is it a huge grind to even get to the boss that drops her parts? You need to do the most annoying type of mission to have not even a five percent chance to get the nav coordinate in the last cache that you need to find on top of finishing the mission or get to round 15 in the survival which probably takes even longer. You need 3 of those to craft the key to the boss and even assuming you find 3 other people so you can share keys you can expect to do this at least twice.

I thought forcing you to play the conclave knockoff was bad, but this takes the cake if i dont have a huge mistake in there.

You do realize that you could take off Rifle Aptitude, max Malignant Force, and have the same net Status chance and have 8 capacity to spare? Going Status on a weapon usually means using a couple or all 4 of the dual stat mods like Malignant Force, which I know you don't have all of them yet, but Rifle Aptitude is only giving you around 1.5% for 9 fucking capacity dude. This isn't even min/maxing autism, it's just a worthless mod.

Also, no one uses Status Duration mods in any builds that I am aware of. On your build in particular it is exceptionally useless because Corrosive procs are permanent. Prolonging status ailments in general is rarely useful since enemies will be dead before they wear out anyways.

R. Cernos because charge time is fast, so I don't have to worry about firing a half-damage shot every now and then.
