What a lot of /v/ doesn't realise is the game industry often comes in cycles. We don't have hit after hit after annual hit. They tend to build up and come in a wave. 2016 was a low, but 2017 was a great high. 2018 will probably suck overall and maybe 19, but even so there'll be at least one game well worth playing then. It's not like most of us have even cleared our backlog or replayed anything yet.
