It was ok. The campaign wasn't as awesome as anons lead me to believe, though it did have some fun parts toward the end. It suffers from brain dead enemies and lack of variety in the enemies you fight. Titans are glass cannon in multiplayer, wish they had regenerating shields still, the battery system is retard, also I wish you could still do customer loadouts.
I hope they do make another because I feel like they are starting to understand what makes this game good in the first place.

I felt that too, but the patch history with TF|2 has made me glad I stopped playing it a couple months ago. They nerfed grapple in the most recent patch and nerfed pistols to the point of uselessness a few patches before that. I loved using the wingman elite because it was a very skillful weapon and I felt happy whenever I shot anyone. Then they lowered the damage to the point I was better off reloading the softall than actually switching to my sidearm to finish a wounded enemy.
Then they buffed the damage in the most recent patch, but it takes a slot as a primary weapon now. I just don't get what was wrong with the 2-weapon system; it seems their insistence on 3 weapons (to ensure newer players always have a way to deal damage to all kinds of enemies?) has made many of them mushy and less fun to use.

Haven't played recently but the buffs he received were incredibly powerful and I didn't feel as though I were at a significant disadvantage for choosing him. MMO's. I remember in the early 2000's as PC technology was ramping up, the MMO genre seemed to hold such wonder that nothing else could compare in the industry. Games promised endless exploration, crafting, working with allies to conquer territory from enemy faction(s), and working as a group to defeat the most difficult of monsters. But then the whole genre took a shit when everyone wanted to be the next WoW-killer rather than doing their own thing. Look at EVE, whether you like the game or not, it tried to be its own game rather than chasing WoW-tier fame, and it still has a dedicated playerbase 14 years later. Yet games like Warhammer Online, RIFT, Guild Wars 2, Everquest 2, or Wild Star have all faded into obscurity or shut down. The genre promised the world, had the potential to do so, and then shit the bed entirely when developers discovered that players would grind to unlock a widget so they could grind to unlock a pair of pants

The argument in the screencap was the lack of customization because guns changed pilot looks. I'd rather have characters fully customized so you can be whatever character model you want with whatever gun/ability/grenades you want.
There were bad and good changes between the two games. Changing the rodeo sucked ass. The original rodeo could've been kept in with just added on "press and hold x to confirm battery stealing". Locking titans to weapons and abilities sucked but it was somewhat reasonable.

They had a good thing with TF1, why did they change so much? They should have just evolved it from there. I'm still mad about no shields. They could have made it where the battery get taken and removes your regen. Placing it in a titan heals them and gives them back shield regen. Then again it could lead to a pissing match between pilots which stealing and claiming.
