I got it from here

It's a webp image. It's possible to download a different format by clicking on 'view image' and changing webp in the URL to PNG or JPG. I think the site converts images to webp, which would likely delete EXIF data.

Did that and PNG has the same lack of exif.

JUne 19 2012 and only 18 views. That is the thing that stands out the most to me. Wherever this came from it just sat there a very long time before coming to your attention. Its a thing but what thing it is is tough to tell. Are there more of the same scene somewhere? Were you just searching for UFO?

Ever look through the eohGG drop? Its a pain in the ass but it is a fun dig.

Imgur is an image hosting service that’s very popular with Reddit. It’s possible that the image was shown on a Reddit post, but reverse searching found no results, and I’d expect a web crawler to pick it up if the link was posted on Reddit.

Furthermore, Imgur isn’t just used for Reddit. In 2012, I’m not sure if direct image transfer was as accessible as it is now, like through email and chat apps like Discord. I’ve come across many images that were obviously not meant to be shared with anyone else.

Unfortunately, I only have this image. I posted it because I’m not knowledgeable enough about aircraft to know if it’s a UFO or something else.

This (probably chink) website shows various features of the pictures. I dont have a strong understanding of what it means but I KNOW the photo here that I analyzed is a fake because the exif data shows Photoshop as the creation source. Sloppy if anyone is actually trying to pass it as real.

I checked the aspect ratio, with is 5:3.

Wikipedia says:

1.6:1 (5:3)

A common European widescreen standard; Paramount format;[1] native Super 16 mm film

European widescreen format was a 5:3 (15:9) resolution of 800x480 and 1280x768 with progressive scan. Developed in 1969 by Rune Ericson, Super 16 mm was widely used in Europe, before the move to 16:9.

No interesting Exif data. That is a plus.
