To be honest that's no longer impossible with western producers like Cruchyshit and Netflix (especially Crunchy) that just want to pander to the western audience and if gaijin pig whine enough about it they might fund it just like they partially funded Shitrus. Though don't expect a high quality adaptation, they are just barely getting into the producer area and don't have much money to put into it, but 10 years into the future it could become reality.

If this only gets 12 episodes i got no clue how they will end it in a satisfactory way. There’s no good place to stop before the play, which means they will need to cram 30+ chapters in just one cour. Best case scenario is if we get 20+ episodes, but other than that i guess 12 episodes could still work if we get some major rewrites. I dunno what could be cut, changed or condensed to make it all fit in one cour, but at least the guy who handles the series composition and script seems to be really good. If they actually do change things around i think he's someone who could pull it off.

Just finished reading all that I could find of it (up to the end of the play) and it was adorable. I hope that they stay true to it in the animation and take as much time as needed. Also if they can't fit it in one cour then they could just leave it at the point they get up to and continue if interest is high. That way the anime can stay close to the source material without rushing it.
