Think arch without a package manager.

Yes
>>935383
Oh it has a package manager, it just doesn't do dependency resolution for you.
It also has something akin to the AUR in slackbuilds.org which is unofficially officially endorsed by Patrick.

It's technically GNU/Linux/NT.

Or as I like to call it NT+GNU/LINUX

Windows NT itself is a hybrid kernel so the naming convention isn't quite the same as its microkernel is ntoskrnl.exe (which is loosely based on Mach)
Windows itself is the OS, NT is the hybrid kernel, ntoskrnl.exe is the microkernel
Subsystems for Linux is GNU/Windows/NT/ntoskrnl.exe

>Subsystems for Linux is GNU/Windows/NT/ntoskrnl.exe
No. It's GNU/Linux/NT. It doesn't run in a regular Windows process, it uses a kernel-provided "Pico process" to run syscalls directly in the NT kernel. It uses Linux package management too, so you have to choose a distro.
▶ No.936197>>936223
>>936178
It still runs under Windows display manager though, so its more like GNU/Linux+Windows/NT
▶ No.936223
>>936197
But Windows is not part of its internal architecture. By your logic, Linux running in a Windows hypervisor is GNU/Linux+Windows.

yes.
