Searx is shit, all these search "engines" that are really just search "proxies" that mirror google are all shit. Because in the end you'll still get the bias results from google anyway.

What's funny about searx is it mirrors more then one site, but all those sites it lists just mirror google. It's fucking stupid.

I can confirm that DDG results are pretty different from the Jewgle ones at least.

Also it has an onion mirror so if you use that they cannot geo-bias you.

You can choose to use engines such as qwant, mojeek, ddg, swisscow and more which do not proxy google.

Good for when you need to to homework and don't want to quote from wikipedia. This search engine is actually well done, sadly they changed their previously privacy-focused policy to sell all the data to the supreme overlord.

Although qwant aggregates its own results it is run by the gchq out of france see their ICANN data, their sponsers, and ownership's previous employement histories. A few of them are kikes too.

That aside for purely search results its ok. The image search is heavily filtered to EU safe results which is annoying though.

It's database and algorithm are also proprietary.

Conclusion: It looks like google, smells like google, tastes like google but it's not made in america.

Searx is a ==META SEARCH ENGINE== it does not host a database full of results. It just goes fetch the result of other search engines.

Learn to host servers before speaking. Having mirror search engines are useful when google blocks the request of the server.
