Not the argument. The argument is that if KHTML (Chrome/Safari) achieves 100% marketshare over browser engines, the HTML will cease even the pretense of being a standard tracked in implementation by browser authors, and instead become perpetually outdated documentation tracking buggy quirks in the Blink source tree.
With the death of Opera & MS Edge, Gecko/Servo is literally the one single thing forcing the tech industry to keep WHATWG and standardized HTML/CSS/JS from dissolving completely.
That said, in spite of its being slower and more bloated, Firefox & forks remain arguably superior to any Konqueror descendant, insofar as the extension system is still more powerful than anything anyone else has, and selection of features in extensions remains greater than the built-in features of any other browser.
