>You're too stupid to not fuck your anonymity up with bad opsec, first of all.
prove it. Your wrong idiot. I produce and distribute CP for years, harass people online, spread terrorism and extremism, for years. If I am not in prison right now that means I have good OPSEC.
>Trying to hide the fact you're accessing the internet at all is not viable outside of very specific cases
it is viable
using Tor on internet assigned to your real name:
-flags you as Tor user
-if they successfuly use time correlation or exploit to get your IP, they know what address to swat
-you cannot easily switch IP and internets
>hiding what you are accessing is much easier and less suspicious.
I am already doing that dumbass. but good OPSEC is to have as many layers of defence as possible

>Use someone else's WiFi.
this is very good idea, but has some drawbacks
-you need some good directional antenna so you can access remote WIFI far from your home
-if someone turns his router off or makes password, you instantly lose internet and need to find another open network. it's simply not reliable and not long term
has pros:
-you don't need to pay for it
-triangulation is not possible. (but if you are connected for long time can just track you to your home, but this is possible with 3G too)
-you can switch to different networks quickly
not sure if 3G or someone's WIFI is better
about 3G and triangulation - it can be avoided if you use very directional antenna

>Just use Tor or I2P.
what makes you think I don't use them?

>VPN is not as anonymous as Tor, but it can be an option.
VPN is snakeoil promoted by VPN companies. Tor is 10 times safer and it's free
VPN can only protect you from bans on IRC and websites, it doesn't protect you from LEA
VPN and Tor (both used) is an option but has drawbacks
