I know spice is like the crack of the galaxy as are deathsticks and I remember there was actual weed in an old comic I read as a kid, but I've always been curious about whether or not there are people in the galaxy who use unconventional methods to get high (is there a word for 'high' in SW?). I mean like, what about setting your laser to stun and just numbing your brain and senses? I can imagine some depressed stormtrooper with no access to outside suppliers just stunning himself for kicks. Would it even feel good? Were drugs illegal under the empire? Was getting drunk illegal? How many drugs were there in SW?

Spice is a catch all term for drugs, its the SW kid-friendly way of referring to meth, coke, ketamine, Yoda's favorite PCP, and whatever.

In general its hallucinogenics or mood enhancers that glaze over your perspective and make you as euphoric as a pagan at Hot Topic.

There's lots of drugs, glitteryll, basic ryll, glitterstim, booster blue, deluge. And something you have to remember is that due to species differences everyday items like salt and pepper might be considered a horrifically addictive substance to some species like the Arcona, and sulphur having a variety of effects on Devaronians.
