You explain how she does everything she does in the first movie as she would be a trained padawan. You even get a bunch of clickbait articles saying "STFU manbabies, Rey isn't a Mary sue and here's why!" and for once they would have been right.

How difficult would it be to say the Emperor had back up plans if he died and had other appreciates than Vader? We already have Starkiller, Darth Maul and Dooku all breaking the rule of 2. Emperor had a back up plan and Snoke was one of them. Show Snoke commanding the First order while watching a hologram of the emperor telling him whats the next super weapon to build if the mega death star fails. Snoke becomes Emperor reborn and now you know for Episode 9 Snoke will have multiple mega death ray tier weapons to kill the resistance. As Snoke becomes more desperate the weapons become less stable and more destructive. More CGI bullshit, bigger stakes, not just a death ray shooting through space.
He was never forced to answer any questions, only to expand on the question being asked.

You could then reveal in a game or novel snokes origin of being a Jedi who survived order 66 and Palpetine used the pain of his friends dying to twist him into the monster he is now. Then you have Kylo being the physical embodiment of Vader while Snoke is the soul of Vader. Snoke is trying to be Emperor 2.0 and Luke has to come off of his island to stop history repeating it's self. It's like poetry and no one would be pissy about it. You're retelling the original story but twisting it a little. Vader and Emperor is Kylo and Snoke. Rey is the new Luke and Luke becomes the new Obi Wan and redeems himself for letting Kylo fall. Kylo and Rey being siblings would go back to Luke and Leia but a what if Luke did fall to the dark side.
It's blindingly easy to extend the questions and answer a few of the complaints. Then you hand it to whoevers last to wrap it up with a post it note saying "Rey and Kylo are related. Maybe Han wasn't quite so loyal to Leia as he should have been", which would fit his chracter, makes him back into a shoots first kind of guy and then Solo introduces a female character who looks similar to Rey and shares her surname. Now you have a hook for people to watch the Solo movie that expands the new trilogy not shits on the old one (I've not seen it)
