Not quite. Abrams' derivative fanfic is quarantined in its own parallel reality, whereas you guy are stuck watching him rape his way through the canon.

Discovery is, by all accounts, already dead in the water. As usual, (((they))) tried to inject social justice bullshit into something without reckoning on the firepower of this fully ARMED and OPERATIONAL autistic fanbase.

Do you think that's going to last? Do you think there's any future for your canon? Star Trek was always more pozzed than Star Wars but it's only going to get worse from here. We're stuck at the bottom of the same pit, looking up at the same hermaphrodite parading around with his dog.

>May be the one fandom that finally unpozz's itself and allows others to be unpozzed

We've actually seen this already. Trekfans are resisting heavily, especially when there was a few articles that tried to throw "OH LOOK HOW PROGRESSIVE WE ARE!" drivel down people's throats by trying to pretend Avery Brookes never existed. Hell the fact that Star Trek is now seen as too conservative for modern television realy got a few people on edge. Except (((they))) have made a grave miscalculation and forget what Star Trek was, and more importantly forget it has a fully loaded arsenal of ammunition to fight back with. There's even a new Star Trek show in secret that is already more Trek than CIScovery will ever be that caused CBS butthurt.

So strap yourself in lads, this is going to be one hell of a wild ride.

>>Doesn't show what he was banned for

My bad. Here you go. This is the first one (can't find the second at the moment, but it simply said "This isn't /v/" as the reason for the ban). The BO claims someone reported me for posting a pic of Anita Sarkesian's sister, although I only have his word for that. It was spoilered and came with a warning, so even the most delicate snowflake should have known to stay away. Instead they clicked on it, gasped, and, when they awoke from their fainting spell, immediately reported it.

Now that's the story I was given, but I think it's more likely that the BO just lost his shit about yet another thread going off the rails and decided to show me who was boss. And then he did it again a couple of days later during an aside about social justice warriors in gamergate. I can't remember the whole thing but the usual suspects were mentioned in reply to another anon. Bam! Another ban.

I was "assblasted," naturally, but during the downtime, I had a chance to think. I've contributed a lot to /strek/, and I was planning on asking the BO for mod privs. After those bans, though, I knew I didn't want to work with someone like that. Then I remembered there was a /startrek/ board. I went there and got a 404; it was a victim of the April 1 attack and no one had bothered reactivating it. I claimed it fairly and set about learning the BO side of things, customizing it with my own graphics. With a renewed interest in Star Trek (and The Orville), it's just a matter of time before new users find their way to us.

/strek/ didn't just happen overnight, and I'm a patient man. While I'm waiting, I'm learning as much as I can and I'm polishing the look of the place and establishing generals. The >>>/startrek/ I'm putting together shall be as fun and comfy as I can make it. NSFW and thread drift is allowed. All I ask for now is basic imageboard rules: no spam, no illegal content, and no hiding outside my window and masturbating while watching me play vidya.

BO frankly did nothing wrong, I would have done the same . Except that reason was retarded and should have been clearly labelled as spam.

You can play almost all of it for free, so you'd only be out time. If you drop $5.00 it removes most of the annoying gameplay restrictions and the rest don't matter if you aren't going to be a raider in a guild.

It may suit you well enough to watch scenes on YouTube unless it burns your curiosity that much to find out how each and ever line of conversation goes.

You are welcome to your opinion, as I am welcome to mine. I would not do the same in that situation.

>Except that reason was retarded and should have been clearly labelled as spam

But that's not a correct label, either. Spam is junk like the kiddie-fiddler sites and the brownpill. My post was just something that randomly triggered someone. Whether it was an anon or the BO himself, I'll never know, but since there was never a "no ugly shit" rule posted anywhere, the ban should have (at most) been a warning and anything up to an hour's time out. It's hard to avoid breaking rules that aren't actually stated and appear to change with the BO's mood.

So, is /sw/ quiet in comparison to /strek/ thanks to the higher comparative level of despair?

 No.2801>>2804

/swtrek/ When?

I hate having to go to 2 different boards just because I like both Star Trek and Star Wars.

Nothing prevents you from making it if you believe you'll be a decent BO, but it will only serve to divide the already small userbases into practically nothing.

Personally I have no interest in ST for now as I haven't seen anything from the setting, only played Voyager Elite Force.

If anyone has nothing better to do and wants to contribute something to the SW community (as it's the only possible source of anything good for the setting) you can make an alternative wiki that only incorporates pre-DisneyWars content. I know about the timeline site, it doesn't have actual info on the things it chronicles.

How busy is your shitposting life you can't spend 2 hours to introduce yourself to the superior franchise?

Skip straight to Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, it's considered the crescendo of the franchise, and if it doesn't get you hooked like white trash on crystal meth than nothing will.

Original is good, Next Generation was "good" when I was a neo-liberal faggot at the age of 12, and haven't seen any of the others.

Star Wars is better, for the same reason Kirk's ST is better than Picard's.

It's going to torutously meander for another season, then crash. The Orville is McFarlane's baby, and so far it's actually pretty good. As for pozz level, it's only about as pozzed as your average Star Trek show.

Forgive me if I find that hard to believe considering everything MacFarlene's made in his career usually comes off as a Family Guy spinoff/clone.

It's like the British ships during Gallipoli, anon. Once they got steaming away into the meatgrinder, they couldn't be stopped.

>>2956

I can understand your skepticism, anon. Believe you me, I was skeptical too. But the show operates like TNG (with some occasional jokes) and has the effort put in to match. It even has the old technical staff from the old shows on board. Plus, it sincerely tries to tackle questions of the human condition, TOS-style. Give it a watch, and you'll see what I mean.
