Oho. It got a cover page? Naisu. Very naisu.

However, despite all that, it's less of a cosmic horror story than you'd think, and becomes more of a creation myth and history of the early Galaxy…including how good old Homo Sapiens figured into it. That said, boy howdy are some parts creepy. Fascinating read, but there are some bits easier to take seriously than others. Plus, it's filled with Lovecraft-style purple prose.

Music is what I'd use for a certain race's leitmotif, once you reach them. Seriously, read this book. It puts all the mishandling of Abeloth in a much better place, somehow, and even reworks the Ones into a decent concept.

Care to expand on it? I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, but what would you have done better?

It sounds promising but please tell me this isn't an actual Lovecraft x SW crossover? I'm not too fond of crossover shit like that.

Oh no, don't worry, it's not. The cover art is I think meant to be a figure in the myths of the Galaxy, Typhojem. Not actually Cthulhu though his appearance does bow to him somewhat, and in terms of his role in the story, more of a Satanic archetype. There are plenty of Lovecraftian themes to be found, but there is something of Star Wars in all of this that blazes past poor Howard's abyssal bleakness.

>Abeloth

I'm afraid I haven't read the books, but from what I can surmise, they made the mistake of having an eldritch entity take the field without properly considering how that would work in a Star Wars story environment.
