Just think about the fact that Star Wars fans no longer discuss the universe and the stories within it, but they instead discuss box office numbers and why the EU is shit, and which celebs are their favorites.
Disney killed the franchise in a way I never would have imagined, they turned it into sports team instead of a fantasy universe.

Half of my posting is shitposting. But god damn TLJ is so much better than TFA and RO it isn't even funny. And Rian clearly took inspirations from the prequels because the visuals harken back to them in areas.
Also the soundtrack is much more present in TLJ and adds to the film something which is perhaps the greatest indicator of a good star wars film. I watched it last night and the last hour the soundtrack and everything was melding together really nicely. Last movie that did that was ROTS

It looks creatively bankrupt. Not sure what they were thinking with the choreography either? Did they even rehearse any of this?
>This episode’s sameness might be reassuring to legions of the faithful, but had Star Wars not already dulled their appreciation of visual and kinetic fantasy (by congratulating their taste for humdrum sci-fi, cute robots, and outré creatures), they might instinctively realize that Johnson’s two best-looking sequences are not imaginative enough. Luke’s confrontation with Kylo on the red-salt tarmac only hints at the shock of bloodshed, and the centerpiece skirmish between Supreme Leader, Kylo, and Rey — the film’s visual highpoint — features only rote gymnastics. You cannot have seen any Chinese martial arts or Zack Snyder movies if you are impressed by this. Johnson’s backdrop is a stunning red cyc wall that goes up in flames, revealing nothing. Psyche.

I am implying that because I'm a star wars fan and you can tell that Williams scored TLJ because theres inumerable moments where theres little diddies and notes that are clearly composed by Williams that fit into the background music perfectly, as he usually does.
He wasn't inspired by what he saw in TFA because it was a generic flick. In TLJ the soundtrack is better and has some ambient tone to it in areas that is nice.

Very possibly. While screenrant is far from what I'd call a reputable source, this article stinks of damage control; just look at the way the author praises Kennedy and all her supposed competence from the start, then goes on to emphasize that she could be leaving for any number of reasons besides poor performance of Lucasfilm. If she wasn't being asked to step down, or it wasn't a real possibility, the article would just be making fun of the "outraged vocal minority of sexist manbabies that are jealous of Kathleen Kennedy's wonderful success with the franchise and just want her to fail because they hate women. These people are conspiracy theorists hopelessly detached from reality." But because we've got press release-tier damage control baked into every paragraph of this article (implying this is the rhetoric Disney wants them to take), I have to assume Kennedy is in some real hot water.
