Interestingly enough, i happened to visit manitou springs while on vacation last summer. Fully knowing the stories that it used to have the largest population of witches ( wiccan) in the US.

Colorado springs is one of the most conservative cities natiowide. Home of focus on the family, Air Force Academy, Norad, Ft Carson, peterson air base, etc. Manitou is in the mountains on the edge of Colorado springs.

Manitou is an old historic town from 1800's. Their main street in downtown has many old buildings and lots of shops. They also have the largest penny arcades, with every game machine you can think from the past 100 plus years. Lots of pinball, ride machines, skee ball, etc.

A definite magnet for children and families.

I had my eyes open for symbolism, and definitly saw some. Like a huge sign on sidewalk for a shop with a hand that had a pedo swirl in the palm. Also some creepy art shops. I saw other symbols around as well.

One of the sources said the probe is in its early stages and that the FBI is following up with leads its received from women who claim to have been victimized by Epstein.

The FBI currently has no plans to interview Prince Andrew, who’s been accused of having sex with one of Epstein’s most vocal accusers, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, the sources said.

The disgraced royal was forced to step down from public duties in November following his train-wreck interview in which he apologized for his “ill-judged” association with the multi-millionaire.

Epstein, 66, committed suicide at a Manhattan jail in August, a month after he was arrested on federal sex-trafficking charges alleging that he abused girls as young as 14 for years.

An FBI spokeswoman declined to comment to Reuters.

Lawyers for Maxwell, who has not been criminally charged, did not respond to a request for comment.

Maxwell is the daughter of the late media titan Robert Maxwell.

Compare that to this: On Friday, the former chairman of struggling Chinese lender Hengfeng Bank was sentenced to death with a two-year delay by a Chinese court. His crime? He was convicted of illegally pocketing $100 million while his Shandong-based bank headed inexorably toward failure, eventually becoming the latest Chinese regional lender to require a rescue and full-on nationalization by Beijing.

CEO Jiang Xiyun, meanwhile, was convicted of accepting bribes and illegal 'accounting irregular' tricks.

Hengfeng Bank said earlier this month that it would issue 100 billion shares through a private placement in one of China's largest state-led rescues of small Chinese banks.

Jiang Xiyun was convicted for moving 754 million yuan ($108 million) worth of Hangfeng shares to his personal account between 2008 and 2013, according to the Yantai Intermediate People’s Court. He also took bribes of more than 60 million yuan together with another bank executive, according to the Thursday ruling. A reprieved death sentence may be commuted to a life sentence if the person shows good behavior within the allotted period. In China, a death sentence with a reprieve may be commuted to life in prison no parole if the individual shows genuine remorse.

The bank sold new shares for about $14 billion to a group of investors including a unit of China’s sovereign wealth fund and a local government-backed asset management firm.

China’s banking regulator said back in June that the Shandong government was speeding up the restructuring of Hengfeng, a mid-sized bank, that has failed to disclose its financial statements for two years.

The lender had 1.2 trillion yuan ($175 billion) of assets at the end of 2016, according to its most recent annual report. The Chinese banking sector has been particularly strained after the government shocked the market by taking over Baoshang Bank Co. in late May, the first bank seizure in more than 20 years.

Beijing is scrambling to shore up its banking system, particularly small and medium-sized lenders.

With stroke of Trump’s pen, the FBI has 30 days to declassify Saudi fugitive intel

President Donald Trump on Friday signed into law a bill that forces U.S. intelligence officials to disclose what they know about the Saudi government’s suspected role in whisking its citizens out of the United States to escape criminal prosecution.

The legislation, introduced by U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon, was part of a $1.4 trillion spending deal passed by Congress this week to avert a government shutdown.

It requires the director of the FBI — in coordination with the nation’s intelligence director — to declassify all information in its possession related to how Saudi Arabia may have helped accused lawbreakers leave the U.S.

The agency has 30 days to do so, according to newly enacted measure.

“It is long past time to stop treating Saudi Arabia as if it were above the law,” Wyden, a Democrat, said in a statement. “My bill will finally force the federal government to cough up any information it may have about how the Saudi government may have assisted its citizens from fleeing beyond the reach of the U.S. justice system.”

The action in Washington comes nearly a year after an investigation by The Oregonian/OregonLive found multiple cases where Saudi students studying throughout the U.S. vanished while facing sex crime and other felony charges.

The investigation also found similar cases in at least seven other states — Montana, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin — and Canada, bringing the total number of known Saudi suspects who have escaped to 25. Some date back 30 years, suggesting the Saudi government had spent decades helping its citizens flee, subverting the criminal justice system and leaving untold numbers of victims without any recourse.

The United States and Saudi Arabia don’t share an extradition treaty. That makes the return of any Saudi suspect who has left the U.S. unlikely, if not impossible, without diplomatic or political pressure.

In April, a story co-published by The Oregonian/OregonLive and ProPublica showed how the FBI, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and other agencies have been aware of Saudi officials helping their country’s citizens avoid prosecution since at least 2008 yet never intervened.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The operator of the four child care facilities in Colorado Springs that were shut down last month has been arrested and will make her first appearance in a courtroom early next year, according to court documents.

On Thursday, authorities announced multiple arrests in the case where investigators found children behind a "false wall":

-Carla Faith was arrested on suspicion of two counts of reckless child abuse without injury and a single count of trying to influence a public servant.

-Christina Swauger was charged with attempt to influence a public servant along with misdemeanor child abuse. She also received a ticket for smoking/possession of marijuana while acting as a caregiver in a childcare facility.

-Katelynn Nelson is facing charges as unlawful possession of a schedule II controlled substance as well as misdemeanor child abuse.

-Valerie Fresquez was charged with misdemeanor child abuse. A mugshot of Fresquez was not provided because she is only facing a misdemeanor charge.

Faith, 58, was arrested Monday and bonded out the following day, a spokesperson with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office confirms. Faith's bond was set at $3,000. She bonded out the same day. Nelson and Swauger also bonded out.

11 News obtained the arrest papers for the women. They go into detail of the alleged crimes stating when officers found the children, they were not being treated well.

Court documents say when officers searched the home they found a pile of backpacks in a closet. When they asked Faith about the backpacks, she told them she had volunteered for a soccer team and was cleaning the backpacks for them.

Arrest papers go on to say that as officers continued to search the home, one bumped into a "false wall." After uncovering the false wall that led to the basement, officers note they found 26 children all under the age of three in the basement. They say when they examined the children they noticed most of the kids were sweating, visibly dehydrated, and had wet or soiled diapers.

As officers continued their search, they say they searched a backpack belonging to one of the employees, Katelynn Nelson. Court documents say police found meth and needles in the backpack.

When the investigation into the four daycares began, CSPD originally detained the four women, but let them go that same day.

It's been six weeks since that investigation started. CSPD spokesperson Lt. Jim Sokolik told 11 News they wanted to further their investigation into the women. He says prolonging the investigation allowed them to charge the woman with the appropriate charges and allow them to be held accountable for the full range of their actions.

As 11 News previously reported, Faith drew the attention of both police and Colorado Department of Human Services after multiple complaints emerged that her facility Play Mountain Place on 838 Willamette Ave. was housing more children than permitted.

When Springs police officers arrived at the daycare facility on Nov. 13, there were no children in plain sight.
