Although his cellmate, former Briarcliff, New York police officer Nick Tartaglione, claims that it was a suicide attempt, Spencer Kuvin, who represents three of Epstein’s sex trafficking accusers, told The Sun that he has doubts about this story.

Did John Brennan Lie to Congress About 2016 Gang of Eight Briefings?

In written testimony to the House Intelligence Committee in May of 2017, Brennan claimed that he had briefed each member of the so-called Gang of Eight about “Russian attempts to interfere in the election” between August 11, 2016 and September 6, 2016.

At the time, the Gang of Eight [congressional leaders who are briefed on classified intelligence matters by the executive branch] was comprised of senators Harry Reid (D-NV), Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Dianne Feinstein D-CA), Richard Burr (R-NC), and reps. Paul Ryan (R-WI), Devin Nunes (R-CA), and Adam Schiff (D-CA).

“Again, in consultation with the White House, I personally briefed the full details of our understanding of Russian attempts to interfere in the election to congressional leadership,” Brennan wrote. “I provided the same briefing to each Gang of Eight member. Given the highly sensitive nature of what was in what was an active counterintelligence case, involving an ongoing Russian effort, to interfere in our presidential election, the full details of what we knew at the time were shared only with those members of congress; each of whom was accompanied by one senior staff member.”

After his meeting with Brennan, Reid fired off a letter to FBI Director James Comey demanding an investigation into “the questions raised” in the Clinton/DNC/Steele dossier.

But Nunes told Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures that he and former Speaker Paul Ryan were never told about the Steele Dossier, which contained allegations about Russian interference and contacts with the Trump campaign.

“The CIA has mostly come clean about its activities during the 2016 election,” Nunes said. “The only one who has questions to answer is John Brennan,” he added. “We now know that John Brennan briefed Harry Reid on the dossier in August of 2016,” Nunes said. “At the same time, he never briefed me or Paul Ryan, who was the Speaker of the House at the time.”

Yet Brennan claimed that he gave each member of the Gang of Eight the same “full” briefing.

As legal eagle “Undercover Huber” noted on Twitter, this discrepancy could become a problem for Brennan.

“Big problem for Brennan: if true, he lied under oath to Congress – in written testimony, not just a slip of the tongue,” Huber tweeted.

This, of course, wouldn’t be the first time the former spook had been accused of lacking veracity in testimony before Congress.

In a post at NRO last year, American military historian and columnist Victor Davis Hanson detailed a number of occasions where Brennan almost certainly lied under oath.

Baltimore law enforcement has launched an investigation into the cause of 11 fires that broke out in the city’s Edmondson Village neighborhood early Morning morning.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at approximately 1:30 a.m. EST, said Baltimore Fire spokesperson Blair Adams, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Firefighters then scrambled to a second fire a few blocks away and did so nine additional times. They extinguished the fires by 3:30 a.m. and the Baltimore Police Department’s arson unit arrived on scene at 6:30 a.m. Adams said six homes, four trash cans, and one car were on fire. Some of the homes were vacant, said Adams. There were no injuries reported.

“My mom yelled fire, the dog was barking, my initial reaction was to get everyone out of the house,” David Hendricks, who managed to escape one of the house fires, told CBS Baltimore.“I just heard a somewhat small explosion and then you heard flames,” he added.

At least 30 children, 3 women and a paramedic were among those injured this Friday, 26 July 2019. Thirty-nine civilians were shot with live bullets and 4 of them sustained moderate to serious wounds. Today’s protest, which lasted from 16:30 to 19:30, was titled “Palestinians Refugees of Lebanon”, and involved activities such as speeches by political leaders and theatrical performances. Dozens of civilians protested at varied distances from the border fence across the Gaza Strip, and were met with Israeli soldiers’ excessive force despite no imminent threat to the soldiers’ lives. Despite reports that the Israeli military changed their open-fire strategy against the Great March of Return protesters and ordered soldiers to aim at their ankles;[1] PCHR’s fieldworkers documented the injury of many protesters in their upper extremities, including 4 that sustained moderate to serious wounds. As such, this asserts Israel’s relentless insistence on the unjustified policy of using excessive force.

In this context, the Israeli news site Ynet revealed on Tuesday, 23 July 2019, that over the past months, the Israeli forces have been trained along the Gaza Strip borders on a new sniper weapon.[2] This means that the Israeli military uses the protests of the Great March of Return as firing ranges to test its weapons, in clear disregard for the value of human life and in violation of international human rights law and international humanitarian law.

To this date, PCHR has documented 207 killings by Israel since the outbreak of the protests on 30 March 2018, including 44 children, 2 women, 9 persons with disabilities, 4 paramedics, and 2 journalists. Additionally, 13,323 were wounded, including 2,742 children, 409 women, 221 paramedics and 207 journalists. Among those wounded, PCHR documented cases where 196 persons have become with disabilities, including 28 children and 5 women, and were as follows: 149 amputees; 21 paralyzed, 26 blind or deaf and 9 sexually disabled.
