Nikolas Cruz Information that I've summarized

Here are just the highlights regarding Nikolas Cruz history:

1. As early as 3 years old, Cruz was diagnosed as a developed mentally disabled person (per school district documents)

2. State records from Department of Children and Families show Cruz was afflicted with a brain disorder with bouts of hyperactivity & difficulty paying attention- he was placed on medicine & had councilors who worked with him at school and at home.

3. Over a 7 year period (when he was living with adopted mother, Lynda Cruz), the cops were called to their residence 39 times. Some of these 39 calls were for “mentally ill person”, “child/elderly abuse”, “domestic disturbance” & “missing person”

4. When Cruz was in Middle School he got in trouble regularly for insulting, disobeying teachers, & disrupting classes. School officials counseled him and talked with his mother. They referred him to family council & he was suspended at least once.

5. February 2016 (source Anon police officer)- Broward County Sheriff’s Office was notified that Cruz had posted photos of guns on Instagram with captions indicating that he was going to shoot up a school

6. 2016- (per state records) Crisis workers from Henderson Behavioral Health, which is a major mental health center, were called to the Stoneman Douglas Highschool & they then declared that Cruz was “not a risk to harm himself or others” (even thought there were photos of himself on social media cutting himself and killing small animals)

7. September 2017- Youtuber Ben Bennight sent a tip to the FBI that a comment was made on one of his videos from a “Nikolas Cruz” (spelled just like that) said “I’m going to be a professional school shooter”

8. January 2017- Cruz assaulted someone at the Stoneman Douglas high school & got 1 day internal suspension. The school requested a “Threat Assessment” of him then (per school records) but it is unclear if the Psychological Services ever did the assessment

9. January 2018- person close to Cruz contacted the FBI tip line and told them that Cruz had guns, desired to kill & would potentially end up shooting up a school (tip never got forwarded to Miami FBI Field Office)

10. February 8 2018- Got expelled from Stoneman Douglas for ‘disciplinary reasons’ and bounced between 3 alternative schools.

11. February 11, 2018- Cruz bought AR-15

12. February 14, 2018- Cruz shoots kills 17 people at his previous High school Stoneman Douglas.

HOW in the HELL was this boy allowed to buy guns? This is High School district 211; centered on Schaumburg and extending to Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, and other townships. That was my district growing up. It's a far cry from what it used to be - now it's mostly illegals across the board. In the 60's through the 80's it wasn't that way. It was middle to upper-middle class White America. Medicalfag here. This is not new. The feds and the state authorities have been warning us about these prescriptions for a long time. They are seriously clamping down. The addiction problems out there are very bad. Many clinicians will not write for narcotics anymore because these days its just not worth the hassle.

If you are a provider who is writing for a lot of narcs they watch you, but as long as what you are doing is appropriate they're not going to bust you. They do keep sending you annoying letters and emails encouraging you to cut down on how much you're prescribing though.

There are plenty of legit pain management practices still in operation, but even many of those docs are stepping back now because of more and more and more regulations and restrictions. The states have databases that record and track every narcotic prescription. Once a patient receives a certain amount of narcs within a month they get flagged, and if they try to doctor shop or fill multiple scripts the pharmacies simply will not give them the drugs.

If you are a provider who is writing inappropriately they usually fire off a warning letter to you. After that, if you keep it up they may put restrictions on your license so that you can no longer prescribe certain controlled medications or can only prescribe a very limited amount of them. If you are egregiously ignoring the safety protocols then they may yank your license. You will get likely busted only if you are doing something blatantly illegal.

Most of the clinicians who are getting busted are being busted because of fraud…often Medicaid/Medicare fraud. That happens quite a bit in my state. It is very easy to rip off the CMS if you are very smart and so inclined. That is why so many of them do it. But they eventually make mistakes or get too greedy when they see the easy money, and they get caught when the audits are done.

The occurrences of Parents reaming school officials for their child's behavior has skyrocketed; so to not draw attention to one student over another, blanket policy. It ain't right, I'm all about disciplining the problem, and the blanket policy, tends to draw more attention to the problem child from their peers. I have a daughter on the Autism spectrum, pervasive development disorder. My wife has to deal with the teacher, who has shamed my daughter in front of the class due to her condition.
