Ive heard the term splash used with navy planes but does that term apply to other branches also?

Splash1 X - Seems to refer to Elon Musk. SplashOne, target hit followed by what got hit. X can also be the unknown variable - meaning figure out what got taken out. It is a bread after all…

The artillery unit calls him 5 seconds before impact so he can get a look at the target and see if it was hit and if not, readjust fire.

So how would Q's post break out in artillery terms? I've spent years working in CIC's and I still get X-ray downed a hostile and interceptors need to check in with Zulu for fighter control. Navy use of splash only regards air hostiles, surface and gunfire support use other terms.
