I am from the Los Angeles area. You know sometimes God puts you somewhere for a reason.
For a period of maybe 5 years I was assigned to a location in South Los Angeles near Watts.
For years I drove up Central Avenue to my job. It is lined with small businesses, some with signs in just in Spanish.
Some haters might say, use English or resent that they have taken over the whole area,.
But let me tell you something you might have missed. That avenue is packed with modest businesses from used apllince stores, tacquerias, trstaurants, cellular stores, used tiire shops, dress shops, and micro bodegas that might consist of just a door that opens to the sidewalk from which they sell chips and sodas and candy. All Latino.
In case you might have missed it while you drive by, because you might resentment becuse you think they "aren't assimilating", can I tell you what it really means?
It means the Hispanic community ARE assimilating and they are "going for the brass ring" of business in whatever way, however small. They are not afraid of work, especially manual labor. It is called a Brazero(sp?) spirit., meaning one that is not afraid to work with his hands.
Let's talk about their families. Very strong families- supportive, extended. That extended family provides support. Grandparents take care of grandchildren and the family takes care of the grandparents in return.
Conservative family values. Work hard, play hard.
I wish President Trump could find a way to acknowledge that at a rally or something.
The Latino Community are Republican and they don't even know it!
What a great opportunity that would be.
Btw, I hope haven't doxd myself too much, but I am not Latino.
I am Caucasian.
Let me rell you about the Black Community in another post.
I have had the pleasure to work with some of the finest.
We have work to do.
