Posted this on a running thread and got no reply so making a new thread for it.

I have been reviewing old Q posts in one of the online archives and have thought about something I remembered reading in Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon that I think is almost 100% guaranteed:

Q is using steganography to embed hidden text messages in his image ("graphics are important!") posts on 8ch. I think the highlighted letters or words related posts can be a means to decode the encrypted text. The problem is that I have no experience in adding messages or removing them from pictures and would like some help. For example airborne image related, it was posted shortly after the following text was posted by Q on Nov7th (message #124 and 125):

The above text is somehow the key for the hidden message in that image. Can someone verify this?

Furthermore, I think this method could have been used to hide pedo related messages on those twitter posts by those nefarious people related to pizza_gate. Please someone help with this concept. Any ideas, software or method of checking for hidden messages in these pictures would be of great help.

To hide or unhide hidden messages to images, you can use a program called OpenPuff. You can find it here:

This website has links to tutorials on steganography and how to use this program.

So I am going to run a test here and hide a secret message on this picture of kek mit uns, the password will be "kekmituns". After saving the picture with the secret message I will add it to this post (pic related). You can then download the picture, use openpuff to unhide the message, then de-select options B and C, put in the password for [a] and it will output a file with the hidden message to a place you decide.

You can reply with the revealed message, for fun.

It seems that there could be steganography involved, but maybe also some sort of request to save a history of posts in a graphic form to use as evidence in the future to explain to normals.

Pics related are some of the posts that mention "graphic is key". By the way, the word graphic has so far been used 38 times. I use Ctrl+F on qanon.pub to move around the "graphic map".

i checked the image with a HexEditor and noticed a weird pattern at the end of the file. other png files didnt had this pattern in it

so i guess you could be right theres something hidden

1. You saved the wrong file. If you want a copy of the original, the poster uploads always save from the right most link - it also has the original file name.

2. I looked at it in a hex editor -there is no appended information. The black border part of the image is what you posted. The standard PNG IEND chunk is at the end of the file - as it should be.

Did you save the picture thumbnail, or did you open the picture as a new tab, and then save it? It is a large picture that almost fills a 1080p screen. I just did the testing myself, and it works properly. Make sure you save the file as a .png (which it is currently, but it will save as .jpg if you save the thumb).
