It is likely that these scams are run in part on the unknown amount of money laundered through Sam Bankman-Fried’s bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange, FTX, for Democratic politicians.

The criminal money laundering enterprise operates at the Federal, state, and local levels.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, The first local elected official identified as part of this ongoing money laundering operation was Alvin Bragg.

Alvin Bragg received massive numbers of campaign finance contributions from the network of individuals who had been identified as smurfs. The investigation into Alvin Bragg also helped to uncover the use of pre-paid credit and debit cards in the structuring of the campaign finance contributions and the payment of ballot harvesting mules.

The Wisconsin Ethics Commission is investigating new Supreme Court Justice Janet Protasiewicz’s campaign for alleged money laundering and fraud. A complaint accuses the campaign of “smurfing”–the illegal practice of laundering big money donations through unaware small-dollar donors.

“The total amount identified to date of illegally laundering money into Janet For Justice’s campaign comes to $1,038,705.93,” alleges the complaint, which was filed earlier this month by Election Watch. “It appears individuals, or those being smurfed, are largely used to aggregate mostly less than the $200 reporting limit of individuals to avoid detection.”

According to Investopedia, smurfing (named after the popular cartoon characters) is “a money-laundering technique involving structuring large amounts of cash into multiple small transactions. Smurfs often spread these small transactions over many different accounts, to keep them under regulatory reporting limits and avoid detection.”

Election Watch claimed in its complaint to have identified thousands of ultra-small-dollar donations made in the names of hundreds of mostly elderly donors, none of whom had any idea that they had made such donations when a private investigator asked about them.

However, according to congressional investigators, federal prosecutors inside US Attorney Dave Weiss’s office blocked agents from pursuing the campaign finance violation case.

Was the politically connected lawyer’s payoff of Hunter Biden’s tax debt a contribution to Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign?

Hollywood attorney Kevin Patrick Morris paid off Hunter Biden’s past-due tax debts according to CBS.

“A source familiar with the arrangement between Morris and Hunter Biden said the attorney paid Hunter Biden’s past-due tax debts,” CBS reported.

According to the New York Times, Hunter Biden told business associates that he had to take out a loan to pay off more than $1 million in past-due taxes.

According to Just the News, IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley detailed how Leslie Wolf, a top prosecutor in Weiss’s office, blocked the investigation into Biden’s criminal campaign violations in a case summary memo dated May 3, 2021.

Shapley provided the information to Congress under the whistleblower protections.

“This investigation has been hampered and slowed by claims of potential election meddling,” Shapley wrote in the memo, according to Just the News. “Through interviews and review of evidence obtained, it appears there may be campaign finance criminal violations.

“AUSA Wolf stated on the last prosecution team meeting that she did not want any of the agents to look into the allegation,” Shapley’s memo stated, according to his interview with House Republicans. “She cited a need to focus on the 2014 tax year, that we could not yet prove an allegation beyond a reasonable doubt, and that she does not want to include their Public Integrity Unit because they would take authority away from her. We do not agree with her obstruction on this matter.”

According to Shapley, in late 2019-early 2020, Kevin Patrick Morris met Hunter Biden at a campaign finance event and shortly after that paid off several tranches of Hunter’s tax debt between 2020-2021.

Shapley said Hunter Biden wrote on his tax returns that Morris gave him a loan to pay off his delinquent taxes, so the money given is not taxable.

Hunter Biden was also hit with a massive state tax lien – $453,890 – in July 2020 and it was paid off in less than a week. The tax lien was paid off despite Hunter Biden telling an Arkansas judge in his paternity case against his baby mama Lunden Roberts that he was unemployed and broke.

The US Department of Homeland Security cleared the way for more Venezuelan migrants to get work permits Wednesday by expanding Temporary Protected Status to refugee seekers who fled the tumultuous country for the US.

An 18-month extension to the program, as well as the new inclusion of more recent border-crossers, was announced by Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas after New York officials pleaded with President Biden for help addressing the migrant crisis in NYC.

Gov. Kathy Hochul spoke to Biden about the crisis and potential solutions Tuesday night, while the president visited the Big Apple this week.

“After my productive conversation with President Biden last night, I’m grateful the federal government has acted so speedily to grant one of our top priorities: providing Temporary Protected Status to Venezuelan asylum seekers and migrants who have already arrived in this country,” she said in a statement.

“There’s more work to do as we address this crisis, but the state of New York is prepared to immediately begin the process of signing people up for work authorization and getting them into jobs so they can become self-sufficient.”

The temporary protected status prevents the migrants from being removed from the US and allows them to work in the country.

Hochul said she pressed Biden for an extension to the temporary protective status of Venezuelan migrants in a conversation with the president Tuesday night.

She said she had been pushing for more than a year to get Venezuelans the temporary protective status that allows them to work in the US.

Around 41% of the migrants who have come to NYC from the southern border are Venezuelans, according to City Hall data released last month. More than 110,000 migrants in total have entered New York City since spring 2022.

DHS’s expansion of the program grants the status to Venezuelan nationals who were in the US before July 31, 2023. It previously only applied to those who arrived before March 2021.

“It is critical that Venezuelans understand that those who have arrived here after July 31, 2023, are not eligible for such protection, and instead will be removed when they are found to not have a legal basis to stay,” Mayorkas said.Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas announced an 18-month extension to the protective status of Venezuelan migrants as well as the new inclusion of more recent border crossers.

Mayorkas said the extension and expansion of the protective status was warranted “due to extraordinary and temporary conditions in Venezuela that prevent individuals from safely returning.”

The status also protects eligible migrants from deportation.

The Biden administration's Department of Health and Human Services announced on Wednesday that it has officially banned the Wuhan Institute of Virology from receiving US funding for a decade, based on mounting evidence that it was ground zero for the Covid-19 pandemic.

On Tuesday, Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra sent a letter to WIV Director Genera, Dr. Yanyi Wang, to inform her that the lab - which Dr. Anthony Fauci offshored risky gain-of-function research to, would no longer be funded by US grants until July 16, 2033, the NY Post reports.

The letter notes that attempts had been made to contact the lab via fax, email and mail about HHS’s decision to suspend funding in July, but no WIV officials had contested the designation or even responded to the agency.

In that earlier missive, the NIH said it found the Wuhan Institute of Virology had “conducted an experiment yielding a level of viral activity which was greater than permitted under the terms of the grant,” which was for the study of bat coronaviruses.

Other requests for the Chinese research institution’s lab findings had also been ignored after NIH made requests for them on Nov. 5, 2021, and Jan. 6, 2022. -NY Post

"WIV has not acknowledged the violations, has not cooperated with the Government to address the violations, has not accepted responsibility for the violations, and, therefore, presumably has taken no action to eliminate the risk to the Government in conducting business transactions with WIV presently or into the future," the letter reads.

The former president was campaigning in Iowa on Wednesday with two events in the eastern part of the state.

During his remarks, he attacked DeSantis on ethanol, a huge industry in Iowa due to the state's corn crops.

'He wanted to end it,'Trump said, referring to DeSantis' position in Congress. Now DeSantis says he'd support fuels with higher ethanol blends.

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas today announced the extension and redesignation of Venezuela for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months, due to extraordinary and temporary conditions in Venezuela that prevent individuals from safely returning.

After reviewing the country conditions in Venezuela and consulting with interagency partners, Secretary Mayorkas determined that an 18-month TPS extension and redesignation are warranted based on Venezuela’s increased instability and lack of safety due to the enduring humanitarian, security, political, and environmental conditions. This redesignation provides temporary protection from removal, as well as employment authorization for individuals in the United States before July 31, 2023.

“Temporary protected status provides individuals already present in the United States with protection from removal when the conditions in their home country prevent their safe return,” said Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. “That is the situation that Venezuelans who arrived here on or before July 31 of this year find themselves in. We are accordingly granting them the protection that the law provides. However, it is critical that Venezuelans understand that those who have arrived here after July 31, 2023 are not eligible for such protection, and instead will be removed when they are found to not have a legal basis to stay.”

Applicants for TPS under this redesignation must demonstrate that they are Venezuelan nationals (or individuals without nationality who last habitually resided in Venezuelan) who have been continuously residing in the United States since July 31, 2023 and meet other eligibility criteria.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will continue to process pending applications filed under the previous TPS designation for Venezuela. Individuals with a pending Form I-821, Application for Temporary Protected Status, or a related Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, as of the date of the forthcoming Federal Register notice, do not need to file either application again. If USCIS approves a pending Form I-821 or Form I-765 filed under the previous designation of TPS for Venezuela, USCIS will grant the individual TPS and issue an EAD valid through the same date.

Under the redesignation of Venezuela, eligible individuals who do not have TPS may submit an Form I-821, Application for Temporary Protected Status, during the initial registration period which will be specified in a forthcoming Federal Register notice. Applicants also may apply for TPS-related EADs and for travel authorization. Applicants can request an EAD by submitting a completed Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, with their Form I-821, or separately later.

The pilot who ejected from a $100 million F-35 fighter jet claimed to have lost the plane in the weather — and likely bailed out before he could activate its tracking system, sources and experts said.

“He’s unsure of where his plane crashed, said he just lost it in the weather,” a voice can be heard saying of the pilot on a Charleston County Emergency Medical Services call posted Tuesday by a meteorologist.

The unidentified pilot landed in a North Charleston residential neighborhood and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

He has since been discharged.

Military officials have not yet released a specific reason for the pilot’s hasty exit, only referring to the incident as stemming from a “malfunction.”

The pilot said he lost the plane in bad weather before ejecting to safety.

Longtime military aviation expert and consultant Richard Aboulafia told The Post the pilot was likely operating the stealth fighter without any tracking capabilities activated — and ejected before he could do so.

“If you turned on the onboard device it would be easily trackable,” he said. “But this is a stealth aircraft. If you don’t turn that particular device on it’s going to be hard to make contact. Most likely, he or she did not have a lot of time to react.”

Military officials were compelled to ask for the public’s help in locating the plane — via a post on Facebook.

“It’s unusual,” Aboulafia said of that effort. “But what is the harm? The onboard device has not been turned on, it’s not being tracked. So it makes perfect sense that they’re going to ask for help from people in the area who might have seen a jet heading in their direction.”

The plane crashed into a rural field in South Carolina Sunday.

Officials have sealed off an area near the area where the plane landed

The plane ultimately crashed into a wooded area in South Carolina about 60 miles from where the pilot parachuted to the ground.

State law enforcement officers said they officially identified the plane on Monday and have since closed off a one mile stretch of road in Williamsburg County.

Local residents in the rural area said they heard an ear piercing screech before a massive boom that shook their homes.

Officials have not yet provided a specific “malfunction” that led to the pilot’s ejection.

The jet is part of the U.S. Department of Defense’s priciest weapons system program in the U.S. Department of Defense, according to a May 2023 report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

The agency is considering modernize the aircraft’s engine.

Aboulafia said although the high-tech model may have its issues, it is still considered the top fighter jet around the world and is coveted by a long list of governments.

“I understand the frustration with delays and cost overruns and whatever else,” he said. “But the fact is they can’t produce these fast enough for demand. And that’s the bottom line.”

UK intelligence spun 2013 Syria chemical attack, leaked docs show

US officials suppressed internal assessments that Al Qaeda’s Syrian wing had an “advanced” sarin production cell even as the US publicly blamed the Assad government for a 2013 chemical weapons attack, a report reveals.

Leaked documents obtained by The Grayzone show a shadowy British intelligence contractor helped sell the story that Assad was responsible – and nearly triggered Western intervention.

On September 13, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published a US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) appraisal detailing the chemical weapons arsenal possessed by the Al Qaeda-aligned Syrian armed opposition group known as Jabhat al-Nusra. The document claims the terror group acquired the ability to produce sarin through Saudi Arabia and Turkey, both sponsors of the Syrian proxy war, and was attempting to achieve “large scale production” of the highly toxic nerve agent. The memo lamented that al-Nusra’s “relative freedom of operation” in the country meant its “[chemical weapons] aspirations will be difficult to disrupt in the future.”

The disclosures raise serious questions about the infamous 2013 chemical weapons attack in Ghouta, including whether the estimated 280 to 1700 people killed were in fact massacred by al-Nusra, and not Syrian loyalist forces. The revelations also cast significant doubt on claims that the government of Bashar Al-Assad was responsible for other alleged chemical attacks during the Syrian crisis.

As Hersh notes, the incident in Ghouta nearly triggered Western military intervention in Syria, which likely would have resembled the NATO operation which led to the destruction of Libya two years earlier. It would’ve been a war based on deceit comparable to the false claims that precipitated the illegal US invasion of Iraq in 2003.

The role of British intelligence in attempting to escalate the conflict has been overlooked to this point. Now, never-before-seen official documents obtained by The Grayzone illustrate the crucial role UK intelligence played in the failed push to launch a NATO invasion of Syria.

‘High confidence’ intelligence assessment fails

While the Obama White House claimed to possess incontrovertible proof that the Syrian government was responsible for the attack in Ghouta, it stubbornly refused to disclose any. By contrast, communications intercepted by German spies suggested Assad neither ordered nor had any knowledge of the attack. Meanwhile, “multiple” US officials told AP that intelligence implicating Syrian forces was “not a slam dunk.”

The choice of wording was widely understood to be a deliberate reference to then-CIA Director George Tenet’s insistence that intelligence showed Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction in 2002. Apparently, American spies did not want to be blamed for triggering an invasion on false pretenses this time around.

The DIA’s internal assessment explicitly states that Al-Nusra maintained sarin production facilities, describing the “al-Nusrah Front associated sarin production cell” as “the most advanced sarin plot since al-Qaida’s pre 9/11 effort.”

According to Hersh, the report in question never reached the White House. An anonymous senior intelligence official reportedly told the journalist that in the name of “political expediency,” evidence implicating al-Nusra was deliberately withheld from President Obama, who repeatedly insisted that no such proof existed:

“We do not believe that, given the delivery systems, using rockets, that the opposition could have carried out these attacks. We have concluded that the Syrian government in fact carried these out.”

Germany opposes Ukrainian UN proposal – FM

Annalena Baerbock says Berlin does not support Kiev’s call to strip Russia of its veto power

Germany does not agree with Ukrainian proposals to reform the UN Security Council, which include stripping Russia of its veto power, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has said.

Addressing the UN General Assembly in New York on Wednesday, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky called for the creation of a mechanism that would allow Russia’s veto power at the UN Security Council to be circumvented.

Baerbock told Germany’s ARD TV channel later the same day that “we don’t support this, and I have made it clear to my Ukrainian partners time and again.”

The diplomat noted that while Berlin sympathizes with the Ukrainian people, “it is not that we support everything that comes out of Ukraine from the government.”

The minister was similarly skeptical of Zelensky’s proposal to grant Germany permanent member status of the Security Council. She claimed that “you can’t say: ‘Okay, we are just changing the Security Council now’, that would be a little naive.”

In his speech on Wednesday, Zelensky accused Russia of violating international law and of launching “criminal and unprovoked aggression” against Ukrainian territory and resources.

The Ukrainian leader further called for reforms that would allow the 193 members of the General Assembly to suspend or strip the veto power of one of the five permanent Security Council members, which are the US, the UK, France, Russia, and China.

Discussing the prospect of peace in his country, Zelensky insisted it could only be achieved if Moscow fully withdrew its troops from territory based on Ukraine’s 1991 borders.

Also speaking at the UN General Assembly, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused the West of failing to address the “root causes” of the Ukraine conflict, adding that Kiev’s backers appear to lack any “arguments for an honest dialogue” with Moscow.

The Russian diplomat described the Ukrainian government as a “blatantly Nazi regime.” He noted that Kiev had effectively stonewalled peace negotiations, with Zelensky signing a decree last October prohibiting talks with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

(Many EU nations are opposing Zelensky and Kiev, this is the end of his division and hatred. Poland cutting off arms and grain, along with others not taking their toxic grain, seems pretty biblical to me.)

New measures were introduced after a violin was stolen from Evgeny Prigozhin’s resting place, according to the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper

Security measures have been stepped up at the grave of former Wagner private military company chief Evgeny Prigozhin, a cemetery worker has told the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper.

According to a report on Wednesday, a guard post and a CCTV camera have been installed after a violin was stolen from the burial site at the Prokhorovskoe cemetery in St. Petersburg.

The instrument is among the symbols of the Wagner Group, whose fighters are nicknamed ‘the Musicians’ due to the name that the PMC shares with classical German composer Richard Wagner.

A violin and a sledgehammer – another symbol of the PMC – appeared at Prigozhin’s grave a few days after his burial on August 29, the cemetery worker recalled. However, he claimed that the musical instrument, which he described as looking “pricey,” had been “snatched” the following day.

According to the worker, a cyclist was seen “racing away” from the site at the time of the incident, but the perpetrator has not been found.

“After that, a CCTV camera and a guard booth were set up at Prigozhin’s grave,” the employee revealed. “Now there’s a security guard on duty there 24/7.”

The worker said it was his understanding that the measures had been organized by Wagner members, who received approval from the cemetery’s administration.

When asked about the whereabouts of the sledgehammer, the cemetery worker replied that it was still at the grave.

Prigozhin and several other high-ranking Wagner figures were killed in a plane crash in Russia’s Tver Region on August 23. The cause of the incident is being investigated, and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said late last month that a “deliberate atrocity” could not be ruled out.

The Wagner PMC was instrumental in the Russian capture of the strategic city of Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) from Ukrainian forces in May, making Prigozhin a household name.

However, the PMC leader launched a short-lived mutiny against the Russian military in mid-June, after which a deal was reached for him to move to Belarus. Under an agreement with the Kremlin, Wagner fighters avoided prosecution and were provided with a choice of moving to Belarus together with their leader, joining the Russian armed forces, or retiring.

The stunt was intended as a rebuke to Kiev, which is suing Warsaw for imposing a ban on Ukrainian grain imports

A Polish MP issued a ‘bill’ for $23 billion to the Ukrainian embassy on Tuesday, suggesting that Kiev should repay the aid it has received after suing Warsaw for imposing a ban on grain imports from the country.

The politician behind the stunt was Krzysztof Bosak, whose National Movement party is part of the right-wing Confederation Liberty and Independence bloc in the Polish parliament.

The ‘bill’ listed various kinds of assistance provided directly to Kiev by the Polish government, social benefits paid to Ukrainian refugees, and private donations made by Polish nationals, as calculated by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.The total amount is likely “significantly underestimated and incomplete,” Bosak noted.

Ukraine has sued Poland before the World Trade Organization (WTO) and threatened to introduce trade restrictions in retaliation for imposing a ban on imports of Ukrainian grain. This was previously prohibited by the EU, but temporary restrictions expired earlier this month. Warsaw opted to introduce a national ban instead, insisting that it needed to protect Polish farmers from Ukrainian competition.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky apparently snubbed Poland and its fellow EU member states Hungary and Slovakia, which have similar policies, during a speech at the UN General Assembly this week. He claimed that some European nationsthat are publicly friendly to Ukraine “play out solidarity” while indirectly “helping set the stage to a Moscow actor.” (Zelensky never knows when to shutup! I thought he was intuitive and could read the signs of the crowd?)

The Polish Foreign Ministry summoned Ukrainian Ambassador Vasil Zvarich on Wednesday to protest over the “unjustified”remark. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on the same day that Warsaw would no longer send weapons to Kiev because it needed to prioritize its own military modernization.

Confederation members will compete with the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party for nationalist votes in a general election next month. The political bloc has criticized the government for cozying up to Kiev amid its armed conflict with Russia, arguing that the policy has obviously backfired.

“We need to start playing tough, like the Ukrainian oligarchs play, who are represented by Ukrainian politicians,” Bosak said at a press conference.

Meanwhile, Brussels is reportedly considering taking the side of the EU member states in the WTO case. The European Commission is seeking to “coordinate” the three nations’ legal rebuttals to the suit, according to a letter cited by the Financial Times on Thursday, despite initially demanding a reversal of the grain bans.

India suspends visas for Canadians as row escalates

India has stopped issuing visas to Canadian citizens amid an escalating row over the killing of a Sikh separatist on Canadian soil.

India said the temporary move was due to "security threats" disrupting work at its missions in Canada. Canada's visa services remain open in India.

Tensions flared this week after Canada's leader said India may have been involved in the 18 June killing.

India angrily rejected the allegation calling it "absurd".

Relations between the countries - key trade and security partners, and US allies - have been strained for months. Analysts say they are now at an all-time low.

India's government swiftly made clear the suspension of visa services also "applies to Canadians in a third country".

"There have been threats made to our high commission [embassy] and consulates in Canada," a foreign affairs ministry spokesman in Delhi said. "This has disrupted their normal functioning. Accordingly [they] are temporarily unable to process visa applications."

He said: "India is looking for parity in rank and diplomatic strength between the diplomatic missions of the two countries. This is being sought because of Canadian diplomatic interference in our internal affairs."

Hours earlier Canada had announced it was reducing its personnel in India, saying some diplomats had received threats on social media.

"In light of the current environment where tensions have heightened, we are taking action to ensure the safety of our diplomats," a statement said.

The two countries have historic close ties - and much is at stake.

Canada has 1.4 million people of Indian origin - more than half of them Sikhs - making up 3.7% of the country's population, according to the 2021 census. India also sends the highest number of international students to Canada - in 2022, they made up 40% of total overseas students at 320,000.

According to Indian government statistics, about 80,000 Canadian tourists visited India in 2021, behind only the US, Bangladesh and UK.

The row burst into the open on Monday after Canada linked India with the murder of separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian citizen who was shot dead in his vehicle by two masked gunmen outside a Sikh temple in British Columbia.

Dubbed a Touch-And-Go (TAG) sampling event, the 30 centimeter wide sampling head (TAGSAM) appears to crush some of the rocks in this close-up recorded by the spacecraft's SamCam. The image was snapped just after surface contact some 321 million kilometers from planet Earth. One second later, the spacecraft fired nitrogen gas from a bottle intended to blow a substantial amount of Bennu's regolith into the sampling head, collecting the loose surface material. And now, nearly three years later, on Sunday, September 24, that sample of asteroid Bennu is scheduled to arrive on planet Earth. The sample return capsule will be dropped off by the OSIRIS-Rex spacecraft as it makes a close flyby of Earth. Twenty minutes after the drop-off, the spacecraft will fire its thrusters to divert past Earth and continue on to orbit near-Earth asteroid 99942 Apophis.

Coronal mass ejections (CMEs), or magnetic bursts of plasma from the sun’s corona, are fearsome indeed. They can drive high-energy space storms for millions of miles and endanger satellites, astronauts and even electronics within Earth’s atmosphere. So, engineers cheered when they learned the Parker Solar Probe drifted through a CME unscathed on September 5, 2022.

Scientists had a few science-focused reasons to celebrate: Parker’s dangerous journey offered the probe a golden opportunity to view a CME up close. And in fact, Parker’s observations helped scientists validate a two-decade-old theory.

As two scientists suggested in 2003, CMEs can push away interplanetary dust — the tiny detritus from planets, asteroids, and comets that is left to drift around the sun. Interplanetary dust is small and difficult to observe, but Parker’s Wide-field Imager for Solar Probe (WISPR) camera managed to pick out light reflected off the particles. The specks of such light were still very subtle, however, but scientists enhanced the signals by subtracting out the average brightness of images WISPR had taken during similar orbits.

When they did, they found the CME blew dust away along an approximately 6-million-mile-long (9.7 million kilometers) path from the sun. Guillermo Stenborg, an astrophysicist at Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory and lead author of the paper, compared the observed effect to a vacuum cleaner. And just like a freshly vacuumed room, the gap in interplanetary dust quickly filled in with yet more interplanetary dust.

Whether all CMEs clean up dust in this way remains an open question. Since astronomers have only ever observed the phenomenon with this one 2022 event, Stenborg and colleagues believe that only the most powerful CMEs may be responsible for such tidying up.

Fortunately, the sun is approaching solar maximum, and Parker as well as other observatories may get more opportunities to observe these fearsome CMEs.
