Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday night hosted a screening of the film "Sound of Freedom" at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, one day after the revelation that special counsel Jack Smith has informed Trump he is a target of the federal investigation into his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Trump has regularly kept up his campaign schedule despite mounting legal problems, including two indictments to which he has pleaded not guilty. He has also denied wrongdoing related to the 2020 election.

Wednesday's event has a specific purpose, according to his campaign: to burnish both his record on human trafficking and his credentials with evangelical Christians, who are a key bloc in states like Iowa that are early in the GOP primary race.

"Sound of Freedom" is a faith-based film, and evangelicals are one of its main audiences. An adviser to Trump told ABC News that the screening was going to include a large faith-based element.

The movie is loosely based on Tim Ballard, who founded the anti-trafficking organization Operation Underground Railroad. The fictional story, starring actor Jim Caviezel as Ballard, follows his mission through the Colombian jungle to save a girl from child traffickers.

Between late 2019 and 2020, Ballard served on an anti-trafficking White House advisory council while Trump was president.

His and Operation Underground Railroad's work has been closely scrutinized in an investigation published by Vice News that reported Ballard and the organization had at times seemingly exaggerated some elements of their work.

Operation Underground Railroad said in 2020, in response: "We are proud to help play a part in giving better lives to children around the world" and contended that Vice was engaged in "an effort to find any, even minor, discrepancy, and to twist anything found into a negative portrayal of an honorable organization." (Ballard has since left the group.)

"Sound of Freedom" emerged as a surprising box office success this summer, driven in part by conservative and religious audiences, according to analysts. Distributed by an independent company, it has built a nearly $100 million following and counting and has been buoyed by positive reviews and word of mouth.

But the film has some critics, too, who argue the film inaccurately depicts the reality of child sex trafficking.

Caviezel, the film's star, has stirred controversy of his own.

He has repeatedly referenced some baseless claims embraced by the QAnon conspiracy, which sees Trump as a savior figure.

While promoting "Sound of Freedom" on Steve Bannon's podcast, Caviezel warned without evidence that children are trafficked for their blood a claim he has made before and, in the past, he has invoked "the storm," which QAnon followers think will be a kind of climatic battle against evil. (Efforts to reach Caviezel for comment were unsuccessful.)

Of QAnon, Trump himself said in 2020, "I don't know much about the movement, other than I understand they like me very much - which I appreciate."

But on social media in the years since, he has shared posts that proudly link him to the conspiracy including one that warns "the storm is coming."

According to NPR, QAnon believers have cheered "Sound of Freedom," though those behind the film have flatly rejected any connection to conspiracies or politics.

"I can't explain it and neither can they. ... They just like to throw the word out, 'QAnon,'" Ballard, the anti-trafficking advocate, said on Fox News. "They make zero connection to the actual story."

The CEO of Angel Studios, which is distributing "Sound of Freedom," has likewise pushed back on this claim, saying: "Everyone who's seen this film knows that it has nothing to do with politics or conspiracy, and that it's just a great, true story, well-told."

Operation Underground Railroad's website states that they don't "condone conspiracy theories and [are] not affiliated with any conspiracy groups in any way, shape or form. Accurate information about child exploitation and human trafficking is imperative to effectively confront these issues."

At the Wednesday screening, Trump was set to be joined by Ballard, Caviezel and the movie's producer Eduardo Verástegui, who previously served on Trump's Advisory Commission on Hispanic Prosperity.

Trump's campaign used the movie screening announcement to tout his presidential record on combating human trafficking, saying he signed nine pieces of bipartisan legislation and doubled the amount of Department of Justice funding to combat human trafficking.

Sale of US nuclear submarines stalled

The nuclear-powered subs are set to be transferred to Canberra as part of the three-way AUKUS pact

Republican lawmakers have blocked a plan to fast-track sales of US attack submarines to Australia, urging the White House toapprove additional military spendingto expand America’s own fleet.

The move is being led by GOP Senator Roger Wicker, the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, who outlined his rationale during an interview with Politico on Friday.

“It makes sense to be surewe have enough submarines for our own security needsbefore we endorse that pillar of the [AUKUS] agreement,” he told the outlet, referring to the submarine sale. “The president needs to submit a supplemental request to give us an adequate number of submarines.”

Though Wicker could not say how much spending would be needed to build additional subs, he added that the White House must also approve “a plan for the industrial base to actually get there.” He said he intends to send a letter to President Joe Biden in the coming days to make his case, alongside fellow Republican Senator Susan Collins.

In an op-ed published in the Wall Street Journal last week, Wicker argued that Washington is slated to transfer three nuclear-powered Virginia-class attack submarines to Canberra “even beforewe have met our own Navy’s requirements,” citing military reports suggesting thePentagon needs at least 66 subs. Wicker noted that there are currently 49 in the US fleet, calling to step up production to 2.5 Virginia-class submarines per year.

Commenting on the hold-up, Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles suggested he was not concerned by the GOP opposition, saying he was still “very confident” the submarine transfer would go through.

The weapon sale represents one leg of the three-way AUKUS security agreement signed with Australia and the UK in 2021. The deal also aims to facilitate the transfer of nuclear technology from Washington to Canberra with help from London, which will ultimately be used to build nuclear-powered submarines for Australia.

However, the pact has also been described by some officials as a way to deter China, which has condemned the AUKUS deal for helping to proliferate nuclear technology around the globe, warning it would kick off an “arms race”in the Indo-Pacific.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence [ODNI] has released a 117-page April 2023 order/opinion by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court [FISC] about the compliance audit conducted by internal review as the U.S. intelligence agencies seek reauthorization. Everything FISC happens in secret, and the report is heavily redacted; however, some interesting information can be obtained if you read the report carefully.

Here’s an example. The FISC is now agreeing with the NSA and FBI that all search logs and audit trails should be erased after 10 years from query. That means every audit trail from the period up to August 2013 is about to be erased.That means almost all of the Obama era search queries will disappear before the next administration takes office.

They are not erasing our data; they are erasing the logs of their search inquiries into our data. FU!

Readers here know my position. I do not believe the FISA court is needed; nor do I believe the NSA, FBI, NCTC or CIA should have any search access to the metadata [full scope electronic records] of American Citizens without a court order.

The DOJ and FBI should go to the ordinary federal courts for search warrants. The CIA and National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) both have foreign service missions, so they do not need access to American citizen metadata (702 acquired). Why would theCIA and NCTC need to snoopinto the private data of American citizens when theirlegislative authority forbids them from conducting domestic surveillance? Additionally, the NSA should not contain a lifetime repository for all electronic records of American citizens. That’s my opinion.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was forced to cut short an event in Belleville, Ontario, after being swarmed by around 100 protestors on Thursday.

The prime minister was in town to meet with the mayor to mark the seventh anniversary of the Liberal government’s Child Care Benefit.

But Justin Trudeau didn’t receive a warm welcome as he was swarmed by protestors, preventing him from meeting all the vendors he had planned.

The US citizenship test is being updated after more than 1 million people became Americans citizens last year - one of the highest numbers on record since 1907.

The naturalisation test is one of the final steps toward American citizenship - a months-long process that requires legal permanent residency for years before applying.

The US currently has the easiest citizenship test compared to other Western countries, including Germany, Canada and the UK, political science experts allege.

Applicants must answer six out of 10 civics questions - selected from a bank of 100 questions - correctly to pass. Applicants are not told which questions will be selected but can see and study the 100 questions before taking the test.

Authorities said last December that the test, which was last updated in 2008, was due for revision after 15 years. The new version is expected in late 2024.

The test was previously changed by Donald Trump's administration in 2020, making it longer and more difficult to pass, but after taking office Joe Biden signed an executive order aimed at eliminating barriers to citizenship which changed the test back to its previous version.

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (UCIS) has proposed that the new citizenship test adds a speaking section to assess English skills.

An officer would show photos of ordinary scenarios - like daily activities, weather or food - and ask the applicant to verbally describe the photos.

In the current test, an officer evaluates speaking ability during the naturalisation interview by asking personal questions the applicant has already answered in the naturalisation paperwork.

Another proposed change would make the civics section on US history and government multiple-choice instead of the current oral short-answer format.

Experts say the changes would make the test more difficult because it would require a larger base of knowledge.

The Federal Reserve has officially announced the launch of a new instant payments service that is designed to modernize the way bank funds are transferred in America. The new payment system is called the FedNow Service, and it will allow you to receive your paycheck in seconds instead of days. Here’s what you need to know.

What is FedNow? FedNow is a new system for making nearly instantaneous payments to bank accounts. The system was first announced in 2019 and is meant to modernize the way payments are made. If a bank adopts the FedNow service, payments between businesses and individuals could be transferred in seconds instead of the days it takes now. In many other parts so the world, this type of near-instant money transfer has existed for years.

How will FedNow help me? If you’re an individual, you could now receive your paycheck from your employer seconds after they initiate the funds transfer from their bank to yours, instead of the days it takes now. FedNow will also enable you to send a payment—such as one for an online bill for your electricity—in seconds to the energy supplier. This means that even if you forgot to pay a bill until the last minute, FedNow could now ensure that your payment reaches the company before the due date, saving you money on late fees and preventing your power from being switched off.

Do I have to sign up to use FedNow? No. FedNow isn’t a consumer service money transfer app like Venmo or PayPal. Instead, FedNow is a service the Federal Reserve makes available to banks. The banks will build the service into their back end. This means that as long as the bank has signed on to the FedNow service, the customer will benefit without having to do anything other than transfer or receive funds.

Does FedNow have an app that I send funds through? No. FedNow is a service banks can choose to adopt. If your bank adopts the FedNow service, you will benefit from it when you send or receive money from/to your bank account. You will still use your bank’s app or website to send money just like you do today.

Does FedNow cost money? No. The service is free to use for consumers. But as Reuters notes, it’s not yet clear if banks will somehow pass on the costs of adopting the service to consumers.

Does FedNow only work during business hours? No—and this is a big benefit of the new service. Currently, if you send money or get sent money, the transfers usually only go through during business hours. But FedNow operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This will allow for money transfers around the clock and means that if your employer pays you at the close of business day on a Friday, you’ll get that payment seconds later instead of having to wait until Monday or Tuesday of the next week.

Are there any drawbacks to FedNow? Right now there are. In order for you to benefit from FedNow, both your bank and the bank of the person or company sending you funds must adopt the FedNow system. If only your bank uses FedNow, but your employer’s bank does not, any paycheck they deposit into your account will still take days to arrive.

Is FedNow mandatory for banks? No. The Federal Reserve is not requiring banks to sign on to the FedNow service.

Which banks currently support FedNow? Currently, just 35 banks and credit unions (out of the 9,000 across the country) have adopted FedNow. However, keep in mind this is very early days for the service and more banks are likely to adopt it as time goes on. The major banks that have adopted FedNow currently include JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo Bank. You can check out the list of all the supporting banks here.

Public records just released reveal that embattled billionaire financier Leon Black has reached a settlement early this year with the US Virgin Islands territory government to avoid being dragged into the Vortex of the lawsuits raging in Federal Court.

“Private equity billionaire Leon Black agreed in January to pay $62.5m to the US Virgin Islands to be released from potential claims related to the territory’s investigation of the Jeffrey Epstein sex-trafficking ring.”

Black had a close relationship with Epstein for decades, socializing together and sharing deep financial ties as the late sex offender gave him tax advice, help with buying artwork, and many other professional services.

“The billionaire reportedly paid Mr. Epstein $158m for financial planning. The pair cut business ties in 2018 because of a ‘fee dispute’, representatives for Mr. Black have previously said.

In 2021, Mr. Black stepped down from Apollo Global Management, the private equity firm he co-founded. Following his resignation, the firm hired the law firm Dechert to investigate his ties to Epstein. Dechert cleared Mr. Black of wrongdoing but noted that payments to Epstein ‘far exceeded any amounts’ to his other professional advisors.”

This settlement with Leon Black is another part of the US Virgin Islands’ larger probe of the Epstein sex trafficking ring.

The FBI, which had known Hunter Biden’s laptop was authentic since 2019, admitted to Twitter that it was real on the day the New York Post published its reporting on the laptop — but then switched its narrative to “no further comment” and refused to acknowledge the laptop’s veracity to any other Big Tech companies ahead of the 2020 election, according to July 17 testimony from Laura Dehmlow, the section chief of the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF).

In a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray obtained by The Federalist, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan outlined how “Dehmlow revealed that the same FBI personnel who were warning social media companies about a potential Russian ‘hack and leak’ operation in the run-up to the 2020 election knew that the laptop belonging to Hunter Biden was not Russian disinformation.” Dehmlow also testified that previous FITF Section Chief Bradley Benavides and his subordinates who were tasked with sniffing out Russian influence “knew that Hunter Biden’s laptop was real.”

A Randomized, Controlled Trial of Ebola Virus Disease Therapeutics

Abstract

BACKGROUND

Although several experimental therapeutics for Ebola virus disease (EVD) have been developed, the safety and efficacy of the most promising therapies need to be assessed in the context of a randomized, controlled trial.

METHODS

We conducted a trial of four investigational therapies for EVD in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where an outbreak began in August 2018. Patients of any age who had a positive result for Ebola virus RNA on reverse-transcriptase–polymerase-chain-reaction assay were enrolled. All patients received standard care and were randomly assigned in a 1:1:1:1 ratio to intravenous administration of the triple monoclonal antibody ZMapp (the control group), the antiviral agent remdesivir, the single monoclonal antibody MAb114, or the triple monoclonal antibody REGN-EB3. The REGN-EB3 group was added in a later version of the protocol, so data from these patients were compared with those of patients in the ZMapp group who were enrolled at or after the time the REGN-EB3 group was added (the ZMapp subgroup). The primary end point was death at 28 days.

RESULTS

A total of 681 patients were enrolled from November 20, 2018, to August 9, 2019, at which time the data and safety monitoring board recommended that patients be assigned only to the MAb114 and REGN-EB3 groups for the remainder of the trial; the recommendation was based on the results of an interim analysis that showed superiority of these groups to ZMapp and remdesivir with respect to mortality. At 28 days, death had occurred in 61 of 174 patients (35.1%) in the MAb114 group, as compared with 84 of 169 (49.7%) in the ZMapp group (P=0.007), and in 52 of 155 (33.5%) in the REGN-EB3 group, as compared with 79 of 154 (51.3%) in the ZMapp subgroup (P=0.002). A shorter duration of symptoms before admission and lower baseline values for viral load and for serum creatinine and aminotransferase levels each correlated with improved survival. Four serious adverse events were judged to be potentially related to the trial drugs.

CONCLUSIONS

Both MAb114 and REGN-EB3 were superior to ZMapp in reducing mortality from EVD. Scientifically and ethically sound clinical research can be conducted during disease outbreaks and can help inform the outbreak response. "Among patients who reported that they had been vaccinated, 38.7% reported that they had received the vaccination at least 10 days before enrollment.

The mean baseline serum creatinine level was 2.5±2.9 mg per deciliter (221±256 μmol per liter), the mean aspartate aminotransferase level was 668±700 U per liter, and the mean alanine aminotransferase level was 379±464 U per liter. The mean baseline creatinine and aspartate aminotransferase values were higher in the ZMapp and remdesivir groups than in the other two groups. However, the baseline creatinine level was not recorded in 18.6% of patients, aspartate aminotransferase level was not recorded in 40.6%, and alanine aminotransferase level was not recorded in 18.1%. In addition, 70.1% of the available baseline samples indicated some degree of hemolysis."

According to a Kingston University investigation of Dutch euthanasia cases, nearly 40 people who were identified as being autistic or intellectually disabled were legally euthanized in the Netherlands between 2012 and 2021.

The UK study found that five people younger than 30 who were killed had cited autism as the sole or major reason for their decision to go through with euthanasia.

With those cases, experts have questioned whether the law allowing doctors to kill suicidal patients via lethal injections has strayed too far from its initial intentions when passed in 2002.

So now that you see the connections… discern who is known for doing what type of things. Look at the child trafficking issue… the sex slaves, organ harvesting, ritual abuse, and all of the things they use human and child trafficking for, including drugs. Putin approves ban on surrogacy for foreigners

Russian lawmakers had earlier explained that the new law is meant to protect children

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday signed into law a bill that bans single males and foreigners from contracting women in Russia to be surrogate mothers. Numerous Russian lawmakers have stated the legislation is intended to protect children.

The new rules prohibit both foreign nationals and single Russian males from utilizing surrogacy in Russia. Such services will be available only to married Russian citizens and single Russian women unable to bear or give birth to children due to medical conditions. The ban does not apply to a foreign national married to a Russian citizen.

A child born to a surrogate mother in Russia would automatically receive Russian citizenship.

Senator Margarita Pavlova, one of the legislation’s co-sponsors, claimed surrogacy had become a “conveyor belt” for taking children out of the country, with the fate of around 45,000 surrogate babies unknown.

Her comments were echoed by Vyacheslav Volodin, the speaker of the lower house of Russia’s parliament, who described this type of service as “a major illegal business venture with an estimated turnover of more than €2 billion ($2.12 billion).”

The legislation was initially introduced last year, and approved by Russia’s lower house of parliament in early December. Last week, the move was greenlit by the Federation Council, the upper chamber of Russia’s parliament.

Moscow banned the adoption of Russian children by US nationals in 2012, citing several high-profile cases of mistreatment and deaths of the adoptees, as well as Washington’s sanctions on Russian citizens.

Same-sex couples cannot legally marry or adopt children in Russia. In November, the Russian parliament passed legislation criminalizing LGBTQ, pedophilia and sex-change propaganda in a bid to “protect traditional values.”

Russia’s population will skyrocket to 166 million if abortions are banned – Patriarch

If Russia gives up on abortions, its population will grow to 156 million by 2029 and to 166 million by 2039, according to calculations by the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill.

“If we want to increase the real population in Russia, we must remove the problem of abortions in its current scale,” the Patriarch said.

Demographic problems won’t be solely solved through money bonuses given to families with kids, known as “maternity capital” in Russia, he warned.

The Russian population stood at almost 147 million last year, according to state statistics agency Rosstat. However, it was the first time in a decade that it decreased by 87,000.

As for abortions, there were 567,000 such operations performed last year, according to the ombudsman for children’s rights, Anna Kuznetsova.

Earlier this year, Kirill blasted women who decided to have an abortion after learning of foetal abnormalities, saying that “such practices of killing those with disabilities were only employed in Nazi Germany.”

In recent years, the Russian Orthodox Church has been actively pushing for a ban on free abortions in the country, insisting that state funds shouldn’t be used to “kill life.”

The initiative gained some public support, and backing from a number of MPs, but never became a law. But Russian doctors are now legally allowed to refuse to perform an abortion if it violates their religious beliefs.

The Jeffrey Epstein trafficking ring saga keeps shining light on the behavior of the rich and powerful worldwide.

Public records just released reveal that embattled billionaire financier Leon Black has reached a settlement early this year with the US Virgin Islands territory government to avoid being dragged into the Vortex of the lawsuits raging in Federal Court.

Independent reported:

“Private equity billionaire Leon Black agreed in January to pay $62.5m to the US Virgin Islands to be released from potential claims related to the territory’s investigation of the Jeffrey Epstein sex-trafficking ring.”

Black had a close relationship with Epstein for decades, socializing together and sharing deep financial ties as the late sex offender gave him tax advice, help with buying artwork, and many other professional services.

“The billionaire reportedly paid Mr. Epstein $158m for financial planning. The pair cut business ties in 2018 because of a ‘fee dispute’, representatives for Mr. Black have previously said.

In 2021, Mr. Black stepped down from Apollo Global Management, the private equity firm he co-founded. Following his resignation, the firm hired the law firm Dechert to investigate his ties to Epstein. Dechert cleared Mr. Black of wrongdoing but noted that payments to Epstein ‘far exceeded any amounts’ to his other professional advisors.”

This settlement with Leon Black is another part of the US Virgin Islands’ larger probe of the Epstein sex trafficking ring.

Forbes reported:

“The settlement said its contents should not be construed as an “admission of liability”

The agreement was reached in January and produced by the Virgin Islands government as a result of a public records request by the [New York] Times.”

Black and the USVI settled claims through private mediation that same month.

“As publicly reported, Mr. Black engaged and made payments to Jeffrey Epstein for legitimate financial advisory services, which based on everything now known, he very much regrets,” a spokesperson for Black wrote in an email to Forbes, adding, “There is no suggestion in the USVI settlement that Mr. Black was aware of or participated in any misconduct.”

The fallout continues to hurt the billionaire over his relationship with Epstein. Besides losing his CEO position in the firm he founded, he also saw other old allegations emerge.

Ex-model Guzel Ganieva, whom he reportedly had dated for years, accused Black of rape. He sued her for defamation but failed, and Ganieva also filed a separate lawsuit accusing Black of defaming her.

“That suit [from Ganieva] was dismissed by a New York state judge in May, when the judge ruled that Ganieva’s claims could not be pursued after she accepted $9.5 million in payments linked to a nondisclosure agreement that covered their six-year relationship.”

Vietnam arrests former health teacher for ‘anti-state propaganda’

Vietnamese authorities have detained a former health teacher Duong Tuan Ngoc for posts he made on social media about education, health, and social issues that criticized the government, police reports and family members said.

Ngoc, 38, was once a nutrition teacher in the southern province of Lam Dong. The Lam Dong police summoned him on July 10, and he was detained the next day, his wife Bui Thanh Diem Ngoc, told Radio Free Asia’s Vietnamese Service.

The police said the detention is for an investigation on charges of anti-state propaganda in connection with videos he posted to Facebook and YouTube.

The exact law he is charged with violating is the vaguely written Article 117, which Amnesty International has described as being “commonly used to suppress legitimate dissent in Vietnam” and “a favored tool of the authorities to arbitrarily imprison journalists, bloggers and others who express views that do not align with the interests of the Communist Party of Vietnam.”

So far this year, at least six other activists, independent journalists and Facebook users have been arrested under Article 117 with prison terms ranging from five years and six months to eight years in prison, according to RFA statistics.

Mrs. Ngoc said her husband was called in on July 10 when police received an anonymous accusation that Mr. Ngoc was selling drug-related products on his Facebook account. At the police station, Mr. Ngoc was asked to admit that an offending account belonged to him.

“He said that he did not do anything wrong,” Mrs. Ngoc said. “The next day, we were asked to appear at the police station again without any stated reason.”

On their second visit, the husband and wife were put in separate rooms for interrogation. Later that night, police searched their house and confiscated phones, laptops, computers and cameras.

Mrs. Ngoc said that she was allowed to keep three of her own phones, and was let go after two days of interrogation, during which she was asked if she had helped her husband edit his online posts.

She has not seen her husband since the 11th, nor has she been allowed to send him clothes or anything else he might need. On Sunday, she received the written police notice of her husband’s emergency detention.

Given the flurry of bombshells from the FBI and IRS whistleblowers, it’s puzzling why impeachment proceedings haven’t begun yet — particularly in the case of Merrick Garland, the self-proclaimed head of the “Save Hunter” brigade. He’s been bending over backwards to keep Hunter Biden’s criminal activities — and those of his father, Joe — under wraps. Fortunately, the whistleblowers are standing in his way by putting Garland in the spotlight. And now, thanks to the IRS whistleblowers, we know exactly why Merrick refused to assign a “special counsel” to investigate the Hunter Biden laptop, tax evasion, and gun charges. If he did, it would quickly reveal the obstruction of justice that’s occurring in Garland’s department. So, Bill Barr, an experienced lawyer and politician, “hoped” that Joe Biden would manage the Hunter Biden investigation “responsibly.” What a farce. House Republicans are debating whether to focus impeachment efforts on Attorney General Merrick Garland after Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) suggested an inquiry against him, taking some members by surprise after much of the GOP impeachment furor had been directed at other Biden officials.

In a year where the GOP has been most steadily focused on possible impeachments of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas or President Biden, McCarthy often has been the voice urging the conference to move patiently and deliberately.

But he has shown more vigor when eyeing Garland, an official leading an agency often derided by the GOP but a figure less frequently cited by the party’s members who are most keen on impeachment.

McCarthy first elevated the topic with a tweet late last month touting testimony of an IRS whistleblower who has alleged mismanagement of the investigation into Hunter Biden, saying it could serve as “a significant part of a larger impeachment inquiry.”

But the conference — though eager to investigate — hasn’t rushed to back the idea, with some questioning whether there is a legal basis for impeaching Garland and others saying different Cabinet secretaries should be reviewed first.

Conservatives are tired of these grandstanding committees. We want to see some heads roll.

According to information provided to the service by several sources, officials in Warsaw are gradually coming to an understanding that no kind of Western assistance to Kiev can support Ukraine in reaching the goals of this assistance. Moreover, they are beginning to understand that Ukraine will be defeated in only the matter of time.

In this regard, the Polish authorities are getting more intent on taking the western parts of Ukraine under control by deploying their troops there. There are plans to present this measure as the fulfillment of allied obligations within the Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian security initiative, the so-called Lublin Triangle.

We see that plans also call for significantly increasing the number of personnel of the combined Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade, which operates under the auspices of this so-called Lublin Triangle.

If Russia sees Poland starting to mass troops on Ukraine’s border (and do not forget that the United States has deployed at least two armored brigades in Poland), this certainly will capture the attention of the Kremlin leadership. Putin responded at length to Naryshkin’s briefing. This does not read like prepared remarks. He appears to be speaking extemporaneously and draw some very bright red lines for NATO.

DC Judge Refuses to Force DOJ to Turn Over Records Showing Biden-Garland’s Obstruction of Hunter Biden Prosecution

Back in March, The Heritage Foundation requested documents from the DOJ using the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) regarding the government’s investigation of Hunter Biden. Unsurprisingly, the DOJ refused.

The charges were so weak they created a presumption of corruption at the DOJ. This was doubly true because it was announced that Hunter would be pleading out to the joke charges on July 26, 2023, in a rapid fire, “nothing to see here” prosecution.

Six days later, the Heritage Foundation filed a FOIA lawsuit in Washington, D.C. (good luck getting a fair shake there) and requested the court force the DOJ to disclose critical records about the Hunter Biden investigation which would demonstrate that the Biden Administration and corrupt Attorney General Merrick Garland were obstructing the prosecution. Heritage argued that the judge in Hunter’s criminal case needed to see the records so that the sham prosecution would be exposed, and Hunter would not get a lenient judgment due to third-world level rank corruption.

Predictably, the far left federal judge, Dabney Friedrich denied Heritage’s request. The judge explained that DOJ couldn’t be asked to turn over the records because it was too busy responding to records requests about the January 6th riot. [SNORT]. Right, as if anyone has ever been granted any documents from the DOJ relating to January 6th. Ask us how we know…. What a sad joke.

The same day this honorable judge Friedrich denied Heritage’s request, IRS investigator whistleblowers testified:

They were blocked from searching Hunter Biden’s home;

They were prevented from speaking with Biden’s family members;

That the DOJ refused to impose felony tax charges – even though the investigators (who were Democrats, by the way) strongly recommended them;

That the US Attorney leading the investigation had personally told them – contrary to his public statements – that Biden and Garland had obstructed his ability to conduct his investigation AND curtailed his ability to bring the charges he wanted to bring.

The IRS whistleblowers strongly advocated for the appointment of a special counsel because of the lack of impartiality in Hunter’s investigation and prosecution.

This request to produce documents was filed by The Heritage Foundation on Thursday.

So large sums of money come into the network from a small group. That money is then transferred through various mysterious entities into smaller groups, albeit still receiving large sums of money. The smaller groups then need to launder the money into directed objectives and goals.

This is where James O’Keefe’s research starts to take on a context.

“The O’Keefe Media Group broke its first story investigating what appears to be a national plot to utilize senior citizens matching a similar profile as vehicles to launder millions of dollars into political campaigns.” [link]. James O’Keefe uses publicly available FEC data to locate donors who are reported to have given thousands of donations to Act Blue. However, the people listed on the FEC reports have no idea why there is a massive difference between the number, frequency and scale of their contributions, compared to their actual donations. The differences are massive.

One of the possible explanations is that people inside ACT BLUE use previous organic donor activity to fraudulently launder donations that come from larger networks.

By breaking up large donations into smaller amounts, it gives the appearance of a larger support base (small donors) and washes the fingerprints awayfrom the identity of the originating large donor, individual, group or institution.

What is the possible, perhaps most likely, source of the originating MASSIVE influxes of Biden cash?

Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who was convicted of second-degree murder in the kneeling death of George Floyd, will petition the US Supreme Court to review his conviction after the Minnesota state Supreme Court refused to hear his appeal.

At least four of the nine justices must vote to grant a petition for it to move forward to the oral argument stage. The USSC is expected to release orders in ongoing cases on July 24, Aug. 21 and Sept. 8, meaning the Court could act on Chauvin's new case on one of those dates - or it could wait until the new term begins in October.

Chauvin's petition was dismissed by the state supreme court on July 18 in a one-sentence order without explanation, denying the former cop an opportunity to overturn his 22.5-year sentence. He asked the Minnesota Supreme Court to take up the case in May after the state Court of Appeals rejected his claim that he received an unfair trial the month before.

Mr. Chauvin, a white man who was a member of the Minneapolis police department at the time of the incident in March 2020, reportedly kneeled on Mr. Floyd, a black man, for more than nine minutes while he was handcuffed in a prone position after being detained on suspicion of passing a counterfeit 20-dollar bill at a convenience store. A passer-by captured video footage of him complaining while detained that he couldn’t breathe, and the video went viral, leading to protests in the United States and around the world.

The autopsy did not conclude that Floyd died from asphyxiation (though a family pathologist made that finding). Rather, it found “cardiopulmonary arrest while being restrained by law enforcement officer(s).” The state’s criminal complaint against Chauvin said the autopsy “revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation. Mr. Floyd had underlying health conditions including coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease.” He also was COVID-19 positive.

Tycoon Sir Richard Branson had breakfast with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein three years after the US financier was jailed for a child prostitution offence, a court document claims.

In 2019, after Sir Richard's name had appeared in a 'little black book' of high-profile Epstein contacts, a spokeswoman for the billionaire Virgin founder said that the two men had 'no personal or business relationship'.

But a bombshell legal document seen by The Mail on Sunday reveals that in 2011 Epstein emailed his private banker Jes Staley and the former Labour Cabinet Minister Peter Mandelson to tell them of his alleged meeting with Sir Richard.

The document states: 'On January 7, 2011 Epstein writes to Peter Mandelson (copying Staley) 'had breakfast with Richard Branson, he is also a big fan of Africa'.

Epstein was a convicted sex offender at the time of the alleged meeting. In June 2008 he pleaded guilty to soliciting an underage girl for prostitution and was sentenced to 18 months in jail.

Sir Richard is the latest high-profile figure named in court papers from a civil case brought by the US Virgin Islands government against JP Morgan, an American US bank accused of ignoring warnings about Epstein's sex trafficking.

Asked by the MoS this weekend whether Sir Richard had ever met or had breakfast with Epstein, a source said: 'We have no record of a breakfast on January 7, 2011.'

The reference to Africa remained a mystery last night. Sir Richard bought a private game reserve in South Africa in 1994 and 12 years later helped establish a business school in Johannesburg to boost entrepreneurship.

Epstein also repeatedly visited the continent, including in 2002 when he flew there on his private plane with former US President Bill Clinton, actor Kevin Spacey and comedian Chris Tucker to raise awareness of poverty and the Aids crisis.

The source close to Sir Richard said he 'did not travel to Africa with Epstein, meet with Epstein in Africa or attend a 2002 trip with Epstein'.

The MoS revealed earlier this month that Epstein planned to hire Prince Andrew and Lord Mandelson to be his 'star advisers' for a new consultancy business.

Last weekend this newspaper also disclosed how Prince Andrew requested Epstein's help with securing $200 million (£153 million) in funding for a mysterious fuel company in December 2010.

That coincided with a visit, lasting at least five days, by Andrew to Epstein's New York mansion. In his infamous Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis, the Prince claimed in that the 'sole purpose' of this trip was to break off his friendship with the disgraced financier.

House Oversight Chair Comer says he expects Hunter Biden to face between 6 to 10 criminal referrals

Referrals Hunter Biden could face include violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act and the Mann Act.

House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said he plans to file "between six and 10 criminal referrals" against Hunter Biden once the committee finishes its investigation.

One of the charges would include illegally transporting women across state lines for prostitution, according to the New York Post.

"The Democrats kept saying, 'Oh, we don't have any evidence. You don't have any evidence.' Well, [Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene] showed them evidence," Comer said during an interview with Fox Business.

During her questioning of the IRS whistleblowers on Wednesday, Greene displayed sexually graphic images printed on posters and asked questions that involved allegations about whether or not Hunter used his company to write up expenses for prostitutes.

"She showed them evidence of the president's son committing a crime, violating the Mann Act," Comer said. "She showed the plane tickets, she showed the pictures, she showed the evidence. You know, there's no question he violated it. That's another thing that he could have been charged with."

Comer added that other referrals the first son could face include violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
