Play it Again Uncle Sam… Debunked Syrian Chemical Weapons Card in Ukraine

Western media are now accusing Russian forces of preparing to use chemical weapons (CW) of mass destruction in Ukraine, thereby making the case for greater NATO military intervention.

The CW card is a complete dud. That Western media are playing it shows they are also complete duds, and that their role is as sinister as mass drug-dealing.

Deliberate provocation by Western powers is the watchword. Britain this week supplying long-range missiles, as well as depleted uranium artillery shells, and drone attacks on the Kremlin are part of a sequence to solicit never-ending escalation. Accusing Russia of planning to use chemical weapons of mass destruction, as with earlier claims of Russia willing to use nuclear weapons, is all part of the orchestrated provocation.

The degradation of Western media standards has become so bad that they can get away with retailing such nonsense to consumers of this “information”.

First of all, Russia does not have any chemical weapons. As a signatory to the international treaty known as the Chemical Weapons Convention (1997), the Russian Federation verifiably destroyed all of its arsenals as per its signatory obligations. The complete decommissioning of these weapons by Russia in 2017 was verified by the Organization for the Prohibition on Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

The United States is the only major power that has not fully implemented the CW convention by retaining stockpiles of these weapons.

Not only is speculation about Russian forces possibly using CW in Ukraine baseless, but the Western media are also deploying the shoddy lie used earlier against Syria. Incredibly, for anyone cognizant of the facts, such calumny is still peddled to blame the wrong people when the real perpetrator in Syria was Western-backed militants and their CIA and MI6-sponsored media accomplices, the so-called White Helmets.

Western media continue to claim that the Syrian government forces of Bashar al Assad used CW against civilians during the decade-old civil war in the Arab country. Russia supported the Syrian army to defeat NATO-backed radical extremists.

Now the Western media are moralizing that the United States and other Western powers took no punitive action against Syria over CW which, it is contended, is acting as a precedent for Russia to use these weapons in the Ukraine conflict.

Euronews quotes Hamish de Bretton-Gordon, a former British military intelligence officer, as saying: “The international community needs to reaffirm that any use of chemical or biological weapons would not be acceptable in any shape or form… I’m sure NATO and the West would act if they [Russia] used chemical weapons in Ukraine. But having said that they stood by when Assad used such weapons in Syria and that might embolden Putin.”

This is an outrageous lie being propagated by the Western media. It has been documented by independent investigations that the CW attacks in Syria were actually carried out by NATO-backed mercenaries in false-flag operations to provoke Western military intervention. One of those false flags in the city of Douma in April 2018 succeeded in its nefarious aims. Following the incident – dutifully amplified at the time by Western media for gaslighting the Western public – U.S. President Donald Trump bombed Syria “in revenge” along with British and French allies.

However, it turned out later that Syria, Russia and Iran were vindicated in their initial claims that the CW incidents in Syria were false-flag stunts. Indeed, it was shown that personnel in the UN watchdog, the OPCW, engaged in a cover-up to implicate the Assad government when the real perpetrator was the jihadists backed by the West, as reported by Aaron Maté and other independent journalists.

“Independent” Ukrainian “Kill List” Actually Run By Kiev, Backed by Washington

Late last year, my name was added to a blacklist published online by the Ukraine Center for Countering Disinformation. I joined over ninety others deemed to be “speakers who promote narratives consonant with Russian propaganda.“

These included Manuel Pineda and Clare Daly, both leftist Members of the European Parliament (MEP); Also counted are people on the right, such as Doug Bandow of the Cato Institute, neocon and former IDF officer Edward Luttwak, a slew of rightist MEPs; Ex CIA officer, Ray McGovern; former military and intelligence figures such as Scott Ritter and Douglas McGregor, as well as academics such as John Mearsheimer and Jeffrey Sachs. Journalists on the list included Glenn Greenwald, Tucker Carlson and Eva Bartlett, Roger Waters from Pink Floyd, and even actor Steven Seagal.

What was my crime? It said my “pro-Russian narrative” was claiming that “NATO’s proxy war with Russia is taking place in Ukraine”. Of course, a NATO proxy war is exactly what is happening there, as this article will only further confirm.

The listing helpfully provided a link with the evidence, an article I wrote for Mayadeen English called “How disinformation works: Western intelligence agencies global war on the left.” It contained a single, 176-word paragraph on Ukraine titled “‘Russian Disinformation’ or Ukrainian lies?” It recounted several examples of Ukrainian misinformation and concluded that “Anyone who mentions any particular truth is derided for echoing Putin’s ‘talking points’.” In the event I was actually denounced as an “information terrorist” who might be guilty of “war crimes.”

Being added to the blacklist concentrates the mind wonderfully on the forces ranged against the possibility of truth and justice in the crisis-ridden West. When I was first accused, over a decade ago now, of antisemitism, my response was to intensify my research and writing activities on the organizations involved in defaming me. Since then I have produced a long catalog of work on the Zionist movement as well as on Western propaganda activities. Of course, the defamatory attacks encourage an atmosphere where social media threats can be made. But the issue of Nazism in Ukraine will be seen in retrospect as a defining issue of our era and it is important to remember that the reason I and many others are threatened by the Ukraine government and their NATO backers is because we in turn threaten to expose them for what they are: Nazi collaborators.

Back on 17 April 2015, several interested people had also tracked the original web address (psb4ukr.org) directly to nato.int without the intermediary “CDN” domain suggesting that Myrotvorets had been hosted there from near the beginning. Other IP history records show that the Operation Butterfly domain discussed above was also hosted on psb4ukr.nato.int, as were two other sites:

• zoperativ.info which we noted above was part of the Myrotvorets operation;

• informnapalm.org

The latter was described “as anti-Russian propaganda site.” While this is certainly true, that designation seriously underestimates the importance of that domain in this story, as we shall see.

A day or so after this exposure in April 2015, Oxsana Tinko registered a new site for the project: psb4ukr.ninja. Perhaps foolishly, perhaps in an attempt to lean into the disclosure, she gave her location as Estonia and her company as NATO CCDCOE – the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence. For added authenticity, she used the correct street address and phone number.

The NATO center quickly put out a statement denying any link, reading:

In fact, the Centre of Excellence has absolutely no connection with the site mentioned… Oxana Tinko … has no affiliation whatsoever with the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence… [She] appear[s] to have hijacked the Centre’s public information and we are taking steps to get the false information removed.”

It is also noteworthy, however, that a Ukraine Ministry of Defense psyops Powerpoint from 2015, leaked in the same month of that year (April), refers to the NATO cyber center as one of seven Western groups with which it had “cooperation”.

Nevertheless, the link to the NATO servers remained in the page source of the Myrotvorets websites. It was not until the NATO connection became an issue again in late August 2022 that anything was done about this. This was after Henry Kissinger had been added to the site in May. Then on August 24, independent journalist Eva Bartlett (who was named on both the Myrotvorets and Center for Countering Disinformation lists) reported that the page source code for Myrotvorets included links to resources held at psb4ukr.natocdn.net. Later, on October 14, she drew attention to the fact that Elon Musk had been listed on the site briefly after he threatened not to continue supplying his Starlink system to the Ukraine military for free. Musk responded “Is this list real?” Within eight days the page source links to natocdn.net were gone.

The West has outright acknowledged its direct involvement in the conflict in Ukraine, Russia’s UN Ambassador Vasily Nebenzya told a meeting of the UN Security Council on Monday.

"Recently [German Foreign Minister] Annalena Baerbock said that possible arms supplies by third countries to Russia were unacceptable because they could be equated to participation in the conflict," the permanent representative pointed out. "And what about the fact that now the entire military machine of the West is working to keep the war going?" Nebenzya asked.

"This is yet another open admission of direct Western involvement in the conflict," Nebenzya said.

Pennsylvania Settles Voter Roll Lawsuit with Judicial Watch

Here’s the latest in our many successes for cleaner elections.

Judicial Watch settled an important federal election integrity lawsuit against Pennsylvania and five of its counties. Pennsylvania admitted in court filings that it removed 178,258 ineligible registrations thanks to Judicial Watch pressure. The new settlement specifically commits Pennsylvania and five of its counties to extensive public reporting of statistics regarding their ongoing voter roll clean-up efforts for the next five years, along with a payment to us of $15,000 for legal costs and fees.

In November 2021, we filed an amended complaint in our ongoing National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) lawsuit. The amended complaint sought to compel Pennsylvania and five of its counties (Luzerne County, Cumberland County, Washington County, Indiana County and Carbon County) to comply with their voter list-maintenance obligations under Section 8 of the NVRA (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, et al. (No. 1:20-cv-00708)).

In the settlement agreement, Pennsylvania agreed to publish the total number of registered and eligible voters (active and inactive) in the five counties by June 30 of each year on the Department of State’s website, for the next five years. It also agreed to publish the total number of address confirmation notices sent to registered voters and the number returned as undeliverable or not responded to. It also will publish the total number of voters removed from the registration rolls on account of death, or for failing to respond to an address confirmation notice and failing to vote in the two most recent federal general elections.

We alleged a “multi-year failure” to take reasonable steps to maintain accurate voter registration lists as required by federal law. On April 22, 2021, we sent a notice-of-violation letter to the Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth setting forth a range of violations by the Commonwealth and 27 identified counties.

In September 2021, Pennsylvania informed the court:

Upon receiving the [April 22, 2021] letter, the Secretary [of the Commonwealth] immediately took action by investigating the issues raised and working with the identified 27 counties to remove outstanding inactive voters who had failed to return a confirmation notice and did not participate in the subsequent two consecutive federal elections. With the Secretary’s assistance, the counties removed every single inactive voter eligible for removal from the rolls. The total inactive voters removed was 178,258.

Separately, a 2020 letter from us to Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, led to the removal of 69,000 outdated registrations. According to a January 14, 2020, CBS news report, “This mountain of faulty registrations has now courted the attention of the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch.” David Voye, Elections Manager for the county told CBS, “I would concede that we are behind on culling our rolls,” and that this had “been put on the backburner.” Allegheny County later confirmed to us on January 31, 2020 that the removals had occurred.

A 45-year-old Kentucky state House Democrat has died just days after his mother said he suffered a “significant medical emergency.”

Lamin Swann, who represented District 93 in the Lexington area, passed away Sunday after being admitted to a hospital on Tuesday last week, according to his mother Pam Dixon.

“There are no words to fully describe the grief and impossible loss that others and I feel right now after saying good-bye … to my beloved son, Lamin,” Dixon said in a statement. “Beyond our faith, what comforts us is knowing the positive and lasting impact he had on so many.”

Days earlier, Dixon said her son was receiving hospital care for a “significant medical emergency” and that “during this difficult time, those of us who love him dearly are requesting both prayers and privacy.”

Pamela Dixon, the mother of Lamin Swann, released a statement on her son’s sudden passing.

Russian Orthodox Church takes possession of treasured icon

Custody of ‘Trinity’ by Andrey Rublev has been transferred by presidential decree

The Russian Orthodox Church will take possession of one of the most cherished pieces of Russian religious art,the ‘Trinity’ icon by medieval painter Andrey Rublev. After the 1917 revolution, the new anti-clerical government decided that the icon’s place was in a museum, while in modern Russia clerics have long sought its return.

The Church announced the icon’s pending relocation on Monday, citing a decision by Russian President Vladimir Putin. It will be presented to the public for worship at the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow for one year, the brief statement said. The icon will then be moved to the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, a monastery in Moscow Region. The artwork wasoriginally painted for a cathedral at the monasteryin the first quarter of the15th century.

‘Trinity’ is arguably the most recognizable piece of Russian medieval art. It shows three sitting angelic figures, with a cup placed at the center of the table in front of them. The scene is believed to display an Old Testament episode, when three angels visited the home of Abraham before the punishment of Sodom and Gomorrah, but also represents the Christian concept of the threefold nature of God.

The icon was removed from the Church’s possession by the Bolshevik government along with the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius in 1920. Nine years later it was moved to the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.

Starting in the late 1990s, ‘Trinity’ was placed on display for one day each year at a special church attached to the gallery, where it could serve its original religious purpose. Gallery workers said they were concerned that the historic piece of art could not be properly preserved outside its walls.

That notion led to a heated debate last year, when the Culture Ministry granted special permission to transfer the icon for two days to the Trinity Lavra at the request of the Church. The move came as believers marked the 600th anniversary of the translation of the relics of St. Sergius, which happened a century after his death in 1322.

The Church has pledged to observe instructions from leading Russian museums on how to best preserve the national treasure.

Experts find unknown Rembrandt paintings

The works are expected to go up for auction at a value of £5-8 million

Two portraits believed to have been painted by renowned Dutch artist Rembrandt have been discovered by experts at Christie’s auction house, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.

The paintings, which had been unknown to art scholars, were reportedlyfound in the private collection of a British family, according to the FT. Christie’s auctioneers were carrying out a routine valuation when they came upon two portraits of an elderly husband and wife from Leiden, Netherlands, dated to 1635.

“I wasn’t aware of what I was going to be seeing,” said Henry Pettifer, international deputy chair of Old Master paintings at Christie’s, after discovering the works. “I dared to dream,” he added, saying it was “extraordinary to me that the pictures had never been studied before. They were completely absent from the Rembrandt literature.”

It is reported that ancestors of the family, whose identity has not been disclosed,bought the two paintings in 1824at a Christie’s auction. The portraits are believed to depict Jan Willemsz van der Pluym and his wife Jaapgen Carels – a couple said to have had family connections to Rembrandt, who painted them during a time when he was just establishing his reputation as an artist.

After discovering the paintings, Christie’s experts conducted a series of tests and analyzed the portraits to find that they showed a “virtually unbroken” line of provenance extending back to the sitters who commissioned Rembrandt.

The auction house then sent the works for further analysis to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, which specializes in Rembrandt scholarship. The museum conducted material-technical and art-historical research and confirmed that the paintings were indeed by the legendary artist.

The two 20-centimeter-high portraits are set to go up for auction at Christie’s showrooms in London on July 6, after first going on display in New York and Amsterdam. Experts believe the works to be valued at somewhere between £5-8 million ($6-10 million) for the pair.

Rembrandt is said to have created some 350 paintings during his lifetime and is considered one of the greatest Dutch painters of the Golden Age, as well as one of the greatest ever visual artists. The highest price ever fetched for his work was set in 2009, when his ‘Portrait of a Man with Arms Akimbo’ sold for £20.2 million at a Christie’s auction.

Two of Congressman Gerry Connolly’s staffers were assaulted by a man armed with a baseball bat on Monday morning.

The assault took place at the Democrat lawmaker’s Fairfax, Virginia office.

“This morning, an individual entered my District Office armed with a baseball bat and asked for me before committing an act of violence against two members of my staff,” Congressman Connolly said in a statement.

The two staffers were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is in custody.

An aside about those three memoirs: In all, our 44th president has written more than 1,500 pages about His Excellence. If you’re keeping track, that’s 400 pages more than Tolstoy’s War and Peace. And the guy is clearly becoming more loquacious with age, as his most recent nod to narcissism, A Promised Land, which lists for $45.00 but can be had for a more properly priced $1.80 on Amazon, checks in at a boat-anchoring, narcolepsy-inducing 768 pages.

Our point is the guy loves to talk about himself. He always has. But he’s been strangely silent since it became clear that the first executive decision he made in his life was to select a corrupt and deceitful backslapper as his veep.

The answer is important, because unless he can somehow thread a needle of plausible deniability, Barack Obama will expose himself as either complicit in the corruption or utterly asleep at the switch. It’s one or the other.

Florida Republican Congressman Byron Donalds is practically begging the media to do its job: “You guys in the press, this is easy pickings. This is Pulitzer Prize stuff,” he implored.

John Durham releases final report concluding FBI had no verified intel when it opened probe on Trump

The FBI has long defended its conduct in probe, but Durham said his probe provided a "sobering" look at miscondict

Special Counsel John Durham released a damning final report Monday after more than three years investigating the Russia collusion probe, declaring the FBI had no verified intelligence or evidence when it opened up the Crossfire Hurricane probe of President Donald Trump's campaign in the summer of 2016.

"Neither U.S. law enforcement nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation," Durham wrote in a 300-plus page report sent to Congress and others and obtained by Just the News. DOJ was slated to make the report public later Monday.

The prosecutor faulted the FBI and Justice Department for failing to follow their own standards and allowing a probe to persist, including the surveillance of an American citizen without basis under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

"Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we concluded the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report," Durham wrote.

"The FBI personnel also repeatedly disregarded important requirements when they continued to seek renewals of that FISA surveillance while acknowledging both then and in hindsight that they did not genuinely believe there was probably cause to believe that the target was knowingly engaged in clandestine intelligence activities on behalf of foreign power."

The report's release touched off instant outrage and impact on Capitol Hill, where House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan tweeted he planned to summon Durham for testimony next week.

Durham specifically faulted the FBI for relying on evidence from Hillary Clinton's campaign, including the Steele dossier, saying leadership lacked the necessary distrust of politically motivated allegations.

"Our investigation also revealed that senior FBI personnel displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor towards the information that they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities. This information in part triggered and sustained Crossfire Hurricane and contributed to the subsequent need for Special Counsel Mueller's investigation," he wrote.

"In particular, there was significant reliance on investigative leads provided or funded (directly or indirectly) by Trump's political opponents. The Department did not adequately examine or question these materials and the motivations of those providing them, even when at about the same time the Director of the FBI and others learned of significant and potentially contrary intelligence."

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Maricopa County attorney Tim La Rue admitted Friday that signature verification is “subjective” and “something of an art” that is open to the interpretation of whatever activist reviews the signature. “It’s not really an exact science,” stated La Rue.

That on top of the tabulation test failures and the failures on Election Day, displays clear misconduct & intent. AMERICAN OVERSIGHT RECEIVES INDICATION THAT DURHAM INVESTIGATION HAS CLOSED

On Friday, the Department of Justice dropped a key objection to the release of more than 4,500 pages of documents related to the Durham investigation, the Trump-era inquiry into the origins of the FBI’s probe of the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia. The DOJ had previously withheld the records claiming that their disclosure would interfere with an ongoing law enforcement investigation. Instead of filing an anticipated brief that would have defended the withholdings, the department withdrew its assertion of the “ongoing investigation” exemption — strongly suggesting that the Durham investigation has been closed.

The reversal was announced in a motion filed in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit American Oversight brought in August 2019 to compel the release of documents related to the Durham inquiry, including communications between Durham and senior Justice Department officials and any communications Durham or DOJ officials may have had with the Trump White House or Congress.

Statement from American Oversight Executive Director Heather Sawyer:

“The Durham investigation remains an alarming example of former President Trump’s weaponization of the Justice Department for his own political ends. Tasked with proving Trump’s allegations of a ‘deep state’ plot against him — and given nearly four years and millions of taxpayer dollars to do so — Durham found no wrongdoing. It’s long past time for the American people to see the full extent of the inquiry’s work and its influences and we look forward to the release of these records.”

American Oversight first requested the records in June 2019, after then Attorney General William Barr had instructed Durham to initiate the politicized investigation of the roots of the inquiry into potential ties between Russia and Trump’s 2016 campaign. That original FBI inquiry ultimately led to the larger investigation headed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Lawyers for the Justice Department had previously argued the government could properly withhold more than 4,500 pages of records and one voicemail audio recording responsive to American Oversight’s requests under the FOIA exemption designed to protect ongoing investigations.

The New York Times reported in January that, after four years, the Durham inquiry was winding down “without uncovering anything like the deep state plot alleged by Mr. Trump and suspected by Mr. Barr.” Records previously obtained by American Oversight through the litigation revealed that Barr met frequently with Durham in the period directly after the Mueller investigation ended — 18 times in seven months — raising questions about potential political interference.

Shortly after Mueller wrapped up his Russia investigation, the attorney general announced a new inquiry — one that would examine the origins of Mueller’s investigation and would be led by federal prosecutor John Durham. Both Barr’s previous criticism of Mueller’s probe as well as his problematic public comments since announcing the new inquiry have raised serious concerns about transparency, misconduct, and the political motivations behind Durham’s investigation.

Even before he joined the Trump administration as attorney general, William Barr’s stance on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election interference was well-documented. In 2018, while a private citizen (who had also interviewed to be President Donald Trump’s personal attorney), Barr sent then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein a memo outlining his misgivings about the Mueller investigation. (According to documents obtained by American Oversight, Barr shared this memo with Rosenstein over text.)

When Mueller finished his investigation and issued a report detailing Russia’s efforts to aid Trump’s 2016 election chances, Barr wasted no time in submitting a distorted summary of Mueller’s findings and prompting the president to inaccurately declare that he had received “total exoneration.” A month later, Barr raised eyebrows when he stated during congressional testimony that “spying [on the Trump campaign] had occurred,” implying illegitimate actions on the part of the FBI. And a month after that, Barr announced that U.S. Attorney John Durham would be leading an investigation into the origins of the Russia probe, which was criticized as a political effort to delegitimize Mueller’s findings.

American Oversight began looking into the Durham inquiry as part of our broader investigation into the politicization of the Justice Department. Our investigation has uncovered records showing multiple meetings between Barr and Durham around the time of the release of the Mueller report — including one just a day after Barr sent his summary to Congress. “The frequency of their face-to-face meetings during this critical time — while Mueller’s office wrapped up its work — raised questions for several former Justice Department lawyers,” wrote CNN in reporting on those records.

Additionally, the records obtained by American Oversight also reveal that Seth DuCharme, then a counselor to the attorney general, was also present at several of those meetings. DuCharme is now the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York (EDNY), in Brooklyn, having swapped places with Richard Donoghue. While at EDNY, an office that has been investigating multiple cases involving Trump associates, Donoghue had been tasked by Barr with overseeing all Ukraine-related investigations.

Meanwhile, Barr’s public comments about the progress of Durham’s inquiry not only fly in the face of Justice Department policy disfavoring such statements; they also make the agency’s justification for withholding documents from public release — that they are exempt from disclosure because they relate to an “ongoing investigation” — seem hypocritical and potentially political. Barr’s July 2020 refusal to commit to waiting until after the presidential election to release the findings of Durham’s probe further deepens the tinge of politicization.

The report states that 'based on the evidence gathered in the multiple exhaustive and costly federal investigations of these matters, including the instant investigation, neither U.S. law enforcement nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.'

'FBI records prepared by Strzok in February and March 2017 show at the time of opening Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI had no information in its holding indicating that any time during the campaign anyone in the Trump campaign had been in contact with any Russian intelligence officials.'

Russian Jet Intercepts French, German Aircraft Near Border; Belarus Puts Troops On High Alert

Russia's defense ministry on Monday said the military scrambled fighter jets in response to surveillance aircraft from NATO countries approaching its border. Interfax reported based on the statement that German and French aircraft approached the Russian border in the Baltic region, before being warned off by the Russian fighters.

"Two air targets were detected approaching Russia's state border," the defense ministry said. "In order to identify the targets and prevent the Russian state border being violated, an Su-27 fighter from the Baltic Fleet air force was scrambled."

"Russia said the flights were being conducted by a German P-3C patrol aircraft and a French Atlantic-2 maritime patrol jet," Reuters details further based on the statement. "After the Russian jet was scrambled and the French and German ones turned away from Russia, the Su-27 returned to base, the defense ministry said."

These types of intercepts which occur not infrequently over both the Baltic and Black sea regions have grown more dangerous in the wake of the March incident which resulted in the downing of a MQ-9 Reaper drone in the Black Sea.

"The U.S. military’s declassified 42-second color footage shows a Russian Su-27 approaching the back of the MQ-9 Reaper drone and releasing fuel as it passes, the Pentagon said," the AP described of the incident at the time. "Dumping the fuel appeared to be aimed at blinding the drone’s optical instruments to drive it from the area." The Reaper drone then crashed, also after a reported aerial collision (clipped) with one of the Russian fighters.

The Pentagon subsequently said it would temporarily restrict the extent of its flights which are near Russian border regions, given the threat.

Meanwhile Russia and its ally Belarus are taking further steps to secure sensitive border areas near Ukraine in the wake of the latest deadly aerial incidents, particularly the reported downing of four Russian military aircraft in one day, on Saturday. Crucially the downings of two Russian fighter jets and two helicopters all happened in the same region near the Ukrainian border, though precise details have remained unclear, and multiple pilot deaths had been reported.

President Alexander Lukashenko has said he's put Belarusian troops on a high state of alert over the apparent cross-border attacks, given the Byransk region borders Belarus and Ukraine. According to his words in Interfax (machine translation):

"Three days after the events near us. I mean, in the Bryansk region, when four aircraft were shot down. We were forced to respond to this. Since then, we have been on high alert - our troops," Lukashenka said during visits to the Central Command Post of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces.

"I am interested in the situation around the country. And, of course, the directions and prospects for the development of this situation. Briefly. Without intimidation. About what is happening and what we expect in the short term," the president added."

Fired ByteDance Exec Claims in Lawsuit That China Has Open Access to US User Data

ByteDance is the parent company of popular video-sharing app TikTok

A former ByteDance executive has alleged in a lawsuit filed against the tech company that Chinese regime officials had unfettered access to the company’s data when he worked there, including data stored in the United States.

Yintao Yu, 36, was the head of engineering for ByteDance’s U.S. operations from August 2017 to November 2018. He filed a wrongful dismissal lawsuit against the company in San Francisco Superior Court on May 12.

Yu alleges that he was fired from ByteDance—the parent company of the Chinese video app TikTok—after reporting instances of alleged misconduct at the company to his bosses, who dismissed his concerns.

Yu accused ByteDance of stealing content from other platforms, such as Instagram and Snapchat. He said the tech giant served as a “propaganda tool” for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) by manipulating content.

He claimed to have witnessed ByteDance engineers manipulating the algorithm on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, to promote content expressing hatred for Japan and demote content showing support for the Hong Kong protests.

Yu said the CCP had a special unit at ByteDance’s offices in Beijing that provided guidance on how the company could advance “core Communist values.”

Yu said the regime officials had the ability to turn off the Chinese version of ByteDance’s apps and maintained access to all company data, including information stored in the United States.

Yu is seeking punitive damages, lost earnings, and 220,000 ByteDance shares that weren’t vested by the time he was fired.

ByteDance didn’t respond by press time to a request by The Epoch Times for comment.

TikTok has come under increased scrutiny in Washington because of national security concerns and the potential that U.S. users’ private information could land in the hands of the CCP, with many lawmakers advocating for a nationwide ban of the app.

ByteDance has repeatedly denied that TikTok data is handed to Beijing, with the company claiming that it stores U.S. user data on servers outside China.

It turns out that millions in donations were sent to candidates like Raphael Warnock from “money mules” around the country. Warnock was the top beneficiary of all 2022 Democrat candidates of this money distribution scheme. In April 2022, engineer Chris Gleason began working on his first data project involving elections. The project was tied to the 2022 midterm election. This was unique for Chris because he had been involved in tech and data for the majority of his adult career although he never used his expertise on a political project. What he and a small group of others determined was that Washington State had a massive network of campaign finance mules. They identified massive numbers of registered voters in Washington State who were making thousands of donations to Democrat party candidates nationwide and progressive PACs. The individual donation amounts were not large. These donations were small and had been intentionally set up to avoid throwing up reg flags.

These “Money Mules” were not wealthy individuals. They were average Americans, living in an average house in an average neighborhood. Or at least that is how it would appear. The investigative group observed massive patterns and red flags in the data. One of the biggest flags was that all of these campaign finance mules in Washington State had been making donations to Raphael Warnock in Georgia.

Another massive pattern discovered was that these very active donors were all unemployed. It appeared that their full-time job was making donations to Democrat candidates and their campaigns.

How is it that so many unemployed people in Washington State would be donating with such frequency to a Senate race in Georgia? Are people in Washington State more politically active and motivated to give money than the average American?

Chris asked “active” donors what they would think if he told them that he had identified voters who were making thousands of campaign donations in an election year. They all had the same response. “Anyone making that amount of donations is laundering money and is part of a criminal enterprise.”

Durham began investigating origins of Crossfire Hurricane in 2019

FIRST ON FOX: Special Counsel John Durham found that the Department of Justice and FBI "failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law" when it launched the Trump-Russia investigation.

Fox News Digital obtained Durham’s report Monday afternoon after his years-long investigation into the origins of the FBI’s original investigation, known as "Crossfire Hurricane." That investigation looked into whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia to influence the 2016 presidential election.

Durham gave his final report to the Justice Department, which released it Monday afternoon. The report spans more than 300 pages.

"Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report," the report said.

Durham said his investigation also revealed that "senior FBI personnel displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor towards the information that they received, especially information received from politically-affiliated persons and entities."

"This information in part triggered and sustained Crossfire Hurricane and contributed to the subsequent need for Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation," the report said. "In particular, there was significant reliance on investigative leads provided or funded (directly or indirectly) by Trump's political opponents."

"The Department did not adequately examine or question these materials and the motivations of those providing them, even when at about the same time the Director of the FBI and others learned of significant and potentially contrary intelligence," the report said.

Durham is referring to past FBI leadership in his report – specifically former FBI Director James Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Durham said there is a "continuing need for the FBI and the Department to recognize that lack of analytical rigor, apparent confirmation bias, and an over-willigness to rely on information from individuals connected to political opponents caused investigators to fail to adequately consider alternative hypotheses and to act without appropriate objectivity or restraint in pursuing allegations of collusion or conspiracy between a U.S. political campaign and a foreign power."

"Although recognizing that in hindsight much is clearer, much of this also seems to have been clear at the time," Durham's report said. "We therefore believe it is important to examine past conduct to identify shortcomings and improve how the government carries out its most sensitive functions."

Special Counsel Robert Mueller completed his investigation into a possible Trump-Russia connection in April 2019, which yielded no evidence of criminal conspiracy or coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia to influence the 2016 election.

Durham indicted three people as part of his investigation: former Clinton attorney Michael Sussmann in September 2021, Igor Danchenko in November 2021 and Kevin Clinesmith in August 2020.

Seattle to pay out $2.3 MILLION to whistleblowers who revealed mayor engaged in CHAZ cover-up by deleting texts

“There’s been no accountability. These officials basically got away with it and the taxpayers are paying.”

The city of Seattle will be forced to pay $2.3 million to settle a lawsuit brought by city employees who were mistreated after they helped reveal that thousands of then-Mayor Jenny Durkan’s text messages had been deleted during the violent riots that rocked the city and the deadly Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone in the summer of 2020.

A whistleblower complaint by the employees helped to reveal that the texts of Durkan, former Police Chief Carmen Best, Fire Chief Harold Scoggins, and other top officials from the summer of 2020 were intentionally deleted.

Though the King County Superior Court case was resolved last month, the terms of Seattle’s settlement with Stacy Irwin and Kimberly Ferreiro weren’t finalized until this week and the details were released to The Seattle Times through a public disclosure request on Friday.

The $2.3 million payout is in addition to over $770,000, as of April, spent by the city on attorneys to defend the case, the outlet reported.

According to the suit, Irwin and Ferreiro claimed that they resigned as public-records officers in Durkan’s office due to hostile conditions and retaliation. The pair claimed they were “subjected to scorn, ridicule, abuse, and hostility … and the demand to perform illegal acts.”

The pair sounded the alarm in 2021 when they complained to the Seattle Ethics and Elections Commission that the mayor’s office was mishandling records requests.

An investigation by the SEEC determined that the mayor’s legal counsel, Michelle Chen, had violated the state Public Records Act by using narrow interpretations of certain requests to exclude Durkan’s missing texts and diverged from best practices by not informing requesters the texts were missing.

Under state law, texts and other communications about public businesses by local elected officials must be kept for at least two years and anyone who willfully destroys a public record that’s supposed to be preserved is guilty of a felony, punishable by up to five years in prison.

The settlement agreement includes $25,000 in lost wages each to Irwin and Ferreiro, while the remainder of the $2.3 million is for general damages and attorneys’ fees.

As part of the settlement, the plaintiffs are required to drop the case, destroy city documents in their possession, and never pursue jobs in the city again. Additionally, both parties are barred from talking publicly about the settlement amount.

Irwin told the Times that records disappeared and yet, “There’s been no accountability. These officials basically got away with it and the taxpayers are paying.”

The US Virgin Islands is unable to subpoena Google co-founder Larry Page over potential ties to Jeffrey Epstein because he cannot be physically located, federal court filings reveal.

A motion filed by the attorney general for the US Virgin Islands said investigators tried to identify a physical address at which Page, 50, could be personally summoned to appear in a court.

After identifying four possible addresses, none of which were ‘valid’, prosecutors are requesting the federal government allow Page to be summoned via Alphabet, Google’s parent company, as he is still a member of its board.

It seems there are two potential explanations for Mr. Page’s disappearing act: either he himself doesn’t want to testify because of personal fears of what crimes it might implicate him in, or someone or something else doesn’t want Mr. Page discussing what he knows about Jeffrey Epstein’s activities.

Senate Republicans Demand Biden Forfeit Info Over His Attempt To Federally Interfere In U.S. Elections

Senate Republicans are demanding President Joe Biden hand over documents related to his March 2021 executive order directing federal agencies to interfere in state and local elections.

On Wednesday, 13 Senate Republicans sent a letter to Biden requesting his administration forfeit documents related to Executive Order 14019, which required hundreds of federal agencies to interfere in the electoral process by using taxpayer money to boost voter registration and get-out-the-vote activities. As The Federalist previously reported, voter registration efforts are almost always a partisan venture and often involve left-wing groups that abuse their nonprofit status to target likely-Democrat voters.

“First, while we all agree that increased voter participation is a good thing, the job of federal agencies is to perform their defined missions in a nonpartisan way, not use their taxpayer funds for clandestine voter mobilization and election-turnout operations,” the senators wrote. “Second, it seems doubtful that Congress approved all federal agencies to use appropriated funds for the purpose of voter mobilization.”

Under Executive Order 14019, the heads of each agency were required to draft “a strategic plan” explaining how his or her department intends to fulfill Biden’s directive. Despite attempts by good government groups to acquire these plans, the Biden administration has routinely stonewalled such efforts by slow-walking its response to federal court orders and heavily redacting any related documents it has released.

In their letter, Senate Republicans are demanding the White House provide them with copies of these strategic plans, as well as a “full accounting of all federal funding used to-date” to comply with the order, by May 23.

“Therefore, reviewing the agency plans is critical to understanding the degree to which implementation of this order has resulted in improper uses of federal resources,” the senators wrote.

Signatories of the letter include Republican Sens. Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Deb Fischer of Nebraska, Ted Budd of North Carolina, Rick Scott of Florida, Mike Braun of Indiana, Mike Lee of Utah, Cindy Hyde-Smith and Roger Wicker of Mississippi, Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, James Lankford of Oklahoma, Ted Cruz of Texas, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, and Katie Britt of Alabama.

Most recently, Budd, along with New York GOP Rep. Claudia Tenney, introduced the Promoting Free and Fair Elections Act, which, in addition to requiring federal agencies to disclose their strategic plans to Congress, would prohibit federal agencies from using federal funds to “solicit or enter into an agreement with a nongovernmental organization to conduct voter registration or voter mobilization activities.”

The bill would furthermore amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to bar public universities from using taxpayer-funded Federal Work Study programs to pay college students to engage in voter registration campaigns. In April 2022, the Biden administration told colleges they could use work-study funds to partake in such activities. Having taxpayers fund get-out-the-vote efforts in this way had previously not been allowed.

Top Signer of Hunter Biden Laptop Letter Makes D.C. Magazine’s ‘Most Influential People’ List

Former CIA Acting Director Michael Morell is one of the D.C. area’s top 500 “most influential people” this year, according to an annual list published by the Washingtonian.

Morell, who coauthored the infamous statement 51 former intelligence officials signed undermining the Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020, received the magazine’s honor for his work on the subject of Ukraine.

Morell “rallied political support for continued US military assistance to Ukraine as skepticism began to fester among right-wing voices and some progressives,” the Washingtonian stated on the list, which was published at the end of April.

Morell, who now works at an advisory firm, led the creation of the statement in October 2020 that suggested the New York Post’s bombshell story about the Biden family was the result of Russian election interference.

Emails and testimony published in a recent joint committee report, written by the House Judiciary Committee, Intel Committee, and Weaponization of the Federal Government Select Subcommittee, reveal Morell worked to gather signatures for the statement in part for the explicit purpose of helping then-candidate Joe Biden in the final presidential debate.

Morell also asked the CIA to “rush” approval of the statement after someone from “kind of the Biden world” asked Morell to issue it, according to evidence compiled by the committees.

The statement, which Biden did indeed rely on in the October 22 presidential debate to discredit the Post’s story, claimed without evidence that the story had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information campaign.”

Written by now-Breitbart News Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris, the Post’s report suggested the possibility that Joe Biden, while serving as vice president, pushed for the firing of a prosecutor investigating a Ukrainian company to protect his son Hunter, who served at the time in a lucrative position on the company’s board.

The story was based on emails the Post obtained from Hunter’s abandoned laptop, which the FBI also subpoenaed in 2019 when the repair shop owner with whom he left it reported its existence, and which many other legacy media outlets have since corroborated as authentic.

Morell told the congressional committees in April, according to their report, that he still to this day stands by his suspicions about Russian involvement in the story, despite no evidence ever surfacing to support those suspicions. Morell conceded however that he would have worded the statement “differently” because “we now know the emails are authentic.”

Attorney Mark Zaid, who represents several signers of the debunked statement, is also featured on the top 500 list.

While Morell said he would have changed some of the statement’s language, Zaid told the New York Times he knows “of no signatory who retracts a single word.”

The Washingtonian compiled its list by looking “for those who have deep subject-matter expertise and significant understanding of how the nation’s capital works, with the goal of getting action.”

"When Brennan was provided with an overview of the origins of the Attorney General's Review after Special Counsel Mueller finding a lack of evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian authorities, Brennan offered that 'they found no conspiracy,'" the report reads.

Special Counsel John Durham highlighted CIA Director John Brennan's public statements to the media on the Trump-Russia collusion narrative that appeared in conflict with testimony he gave on the matter as part of the investigation.

Throughout the news cycle, Brennan was a prominent voice from the intelligence community promoting the collusion theory.

"President Trump’s Claims of No Collusion Are Hogwash" he wrote in a New York Times op-ed from August of 2018. In 2017, he testified before the House Intelligence Committee that "I encountered and am aware of information and intelligence that revealed contacts and interactions between Russian officials and U.S. persons involved in the Trump campaign."

A consistent theme throughout Durham's report was that the intelligence community lacked any meaningful evidence to substantiate the allegations of collusion, and Brennan proved no exception.

"CIA Director John Brennan and Deputy Director David Cohen were interviewed by the Office and were asked about their knowledge of any actual evidence of members of the Trump campaign conspiring or colluding with Russian officials," Durham wrote. "When Brennan was provided with an overview of the origins of the Attorney General's Review after Special Counsel Mueller finding a lack of evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian authorities, Brennan offered that 'they found no conspiracy.'"

"In fact, Special Counsel Mueller's report explicitly states that "[u]ltimately, [his] investigation did not establish that the [Trump] Campaign coordinated or conspired with the Russian government in its election-interference activities," he continued. "Relatedly, however, shortly after Special Counsel Mueller delivered his report to the Attorney General and the Attorney General had issued a short summary of the Report's findings, Brennan appeared on MSNBC's Morning Joe program, where he stated that '[he] suspected there was more than there actually was' with regard to collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in the 2016 election, thus suggesting that he had no actual knowledge of such information."

Elon Musk Subpoenaed By U.S. Virgin Islands In Jeffrey Epstein Case

According to a court filing on Monday, the government of the U.S. Virgin Islands issued a subpoena to Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk for documents as part of their lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase regarding sex trafficking by the bank’s late customer Jeffrey Epstein.

The subpoena was issued on April 28 due to suspicions that Epstein “may have referred or attempted to refer” Musk as a client to JPMorgan, CNBC reported.

Musk has not been accused of any wrongdoing.

The filing revealed that the Virgin Islands attempted to serve the subpoena to Musk but was unsuccessful.

“The Government contacted Mr. Musk’s counsel via email to ask if he would be authorized to accept service on Mr. Musk’s behalf in this matter but did not receive a response confirming or denying his authority,” the filing says.

The USVI is now requesting permission from Manhattan federal court Judge Jed Rakoff to serve Musk with the subpoena for the documents through Tesla’s registered agent.

The lawsuit accuses JPMorgan of enabling and benefiting from Epstein’s trafficking of young women to his private island in the Virgin Islands for abuse.

Musk has not publicly commented on the case.

(Bloomberg) – Elon Musk was issued a subpoena by the US Virgin Islands in its lawsuit accusing JPMorgan Chase & Co. of knowingly benefiting from Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking.

The USVI on Monday asked the judge overseeing the case to authorize alternative means of serving the April 28 subpoena on Musk. The territory said it had reason to believe Epstein referred or attempted to refer Musk to JPMorgan.

In its filing, the USVI said it made good-faith efforts to obtain an address for Musk, including hiring private investigators, but had been unable to locate one for the billionaire. The territory said it also tried to serve Musk at the offices of Tesla Inc.

Several other billionaires, including the founder of Google, have also been subpoenaed in Epstein suits.

The FBI investigation of former President Donald Trump’s campaign over allegations of collusion with Russia was “seriously flawed” and had no basis in evidence, special counsel John Durham wrote in a final report released Monday.

According to Durham, the former Connecticut US Attorney who was tapped by then-AG Bill Barr in in the spring of 2019 to examine the probe that overshadowed much of the 45th president’s term of office, investigators opened the notorious probe — dubbed “Operation Crossfire Hurricane” — despite having no “actual evidence of collusion in their holdings.”

Over the following months and as the probe ramped up under the oversight of former FBI Director Robert Mueller, Durham found investigators ignored exculpatory evidence, put too much stock in information provided by Trump’s political opponents, and carried out surveillance without genuinely believing there was probable cause to do so.

“Throughout the duration of Crossfire Hurricane, facts and circumstances that were inconsistent with the premise that Trump and/or persons associated with the Trump campaign were involved in a collusive or conspiratorial relationship with the Russian government were ignored or simply assessed away,” Durham wrote.

In the executive summary of the 306-page report, which was submitted to Attorney General Merrick Garland Friday, and released Monday afternoon, the special counsel wrote that investigators acted “without appropriate objectivity or restraint in pursuing allegations of collusion or conspiracy between a U.S. political campaign and a foreign power.”

However, Durham stopped short of recommending significant reforms of the FBI, writing that “the answer is not the creation of new rules but a renewed fidelity to the old.”

Fired Teachers Who Refused COVID Vaccine To Get Full Reinstatement And Back Pay

Three Rhode Island teachers who were fired for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine have been offered their jobs back with full back pay after reaching a settlement with the school district.

Teachers Stephanie Hines, Brittany DiOrio, and Kerri Thurber were terminated from their positions in Barrington Public Schools after they had requested a religious exemption after the school mandated employees get the vaccine.

Last week, their attorney, Greg Piccirilli, and the school district said they had reached a settlement, allowing the teachers to return to their jobs. They are also each entitled to $33,333 in damages along with their back pay. DiOrio will get $150,000, Thurber will get $128,000, and Hines will receive $65,000 under the agreement.

“The three teachers have the opportunity to return to teaching positions within the Barrington School District should they choose to do so, at the steps they would have been at had they worked continuously,” the Barrington Public Schools district said in a statement on May 11.

In a statement to the Boston Globe, Piccirilli said that his clients are “extremely gratified that they’ve been vindicated in their position,” adding that he will get $50,000 in attorneys fees as part of the settlement. “A lot of people were dismissive and skeptical of their claims at the time,” he told the Boston Globe. “They went through a lot of personal trauma dealing with this. Their faith has gotten them through this.”

Meanwhile, Barrington Public Schools told the Providence Journal that it reached the settlement because the litigation would likely put a drag on the school’s resources and funding. It attempted to distance itself from its own vaccine mandate by claiming that it was dealing with the spread of COVID-19, although there is a growing body of evidence that shows the vaccines do not prevent the spread of the virus.

“Our district was navigating an unprecedented health pandemic and leaned on the important recommendations by the CDC and the Rhode Island Department of Health to ensure the safety of our students and school community,” the Barrington School Committee said Thursday, according to the outlet. “Our then-policy helped combat the pressing public health crisis of the time, while keeping schools open, and [was] one that nearly all faculty and staff adhered to.”

It added that “we determined this ongoing, expensive litigation” would likely continue for a lengthy period of time, and a resolution should be reached because the “administration’s time, and our district’s financial resources, should be spent on the daily work and mission of Barrington Public Schools … our School Committee looks forward to continuing to support this important work.”

Former US attorney says DOJ won't prosecute Biden crime family for political reasons

"We're looking at a DOJ who refuses to prosecute certain cases now that have a political angle to them."

Former US Attorney Brett Tolman told Trey Gowdy on Sunday Night in America that the Department of Justice would typically investigate crimes such as those alleged at the Biden family through their shell companies and suspicious business dealings, but now the DOJ "won't go after a Joe Biden family member who appears to be in a crime syndicate."

"I was a federal prosecutor first and then I became a US attorney," Tollman said. "The very last case I had involved a shell LLC and the movement of money and we couldn't identify what the actual business was. And it is the kind of case that was the bread and butter of the fraud and corruption unit at DOJ."

Representative James Comer, Jim Jordan, and several other Republicans from the House Oversight Committee revealed records previously subpoenaed from four banks that appear to connect payments to the Biden family from foreign entities, transactions that were primarily made through shell companies.

A total of $10 million was tracked through 25 LLCs which were found to have origin points in Romania and China. The Chinese money came from companies with connections to the CCP

During a press briefing, Comer said, "What are the Biden businesses? What business? What we read in the press about 'Well, these were legitimate business deals that were done after Joe Biden's president.' That's not true. These were set up when Joe Biden was vice president. And what is the business? What business are they in?"

According to the House GOP, those who received payouts were James Biden, his wife Sara Jones Biden, Hunter Biden, Hallie Biden, Hunter's current wife Melissa Cohen and ex-wife Kathleen Buhle, and three grandchildren either of Joe or his brother James.

The Department of Justice has not opened an official investigation into possible Biden corruption despite possessing Hunter Biden's discarded laptop that he left at a Delaware computer repair shop. The contents implicated Joe Biden and his son in corruption connected with influence peddling and profiteering compounded by Hunter Biden's love for hookers, illegal guns, and crack.

On Sunday, Gowdy and Tollment remarked that "several of the larger media stations" were not covering the alleged Biden corruption.

Tollman said, "If you can't identify what the business of those 25 LLCs are, then what you have is a shell game to move money."

"They'll re-prosecute, you know, Philip Esformes who was given clemency by President Trump, but they won't go after a Joe Biden family member who appears to be in a crime syndicate," Tollman added.

I’ve taken part in mass arrest situations. The first thing I’d do, after an arrest, is pull that mask off. It’s for identification and safety purposes. I need to see whom I’m arresting and I can’t risk their airways being obstructed. Also, if they weren’t identified yet, I wouldn’t have them so close to each other. Too much liability, including the possibility of a prisoner escaping. None of this makes sense.
