Doesn't this invalidate the whole purpose of this show? Are some evil characters just "beyond redemption" and can't be allowed to continue living? Instead of reformation or imprisonment, seems like MLP also teaches that obliterating your enemies' corpses can work just as well. Showing that gruesome painful deaths (R.I.P: The Mean 6, King Sombra, & Storm King) can Also be effective in resolving disputes and restoring peace & happiness to Equestria again.

I don't know about Sombra but weren't the other two killed in response to all the people bitching that bad guys kept getting redeemed and that it was too boring? Anyways, Tempest was redeemed in the movie, and she was the real villian. And Chrysalis was the real villian in the tree episode and she didnt die. As for Sombra, I dont know. He's pretty bland so I'm glad he's dead so we don't have to see him any more.

Mean Six were enchanted trees.

Sombra is the only one that that makes sense for. Also, Discord should have stayed frozen.

The mean six were just artificial constructs, so they weren't really "alive" in the first place. Sombra was some sort of evil spirit in that episode, so he didn't really "die" in the traditional sense. And the Storm King was implied to still be alive despite being shattered (although you could argue that that's a fate worse than death).
