Well, at least Glimmer is not the second character in the show to get wings.

Also Spike will no longer need to rely on Twilight for transportation.

So, how old is Spike, actually? It's been barely two years of show time since the series started, added to when Twilight hatched him which was her entrance exam for school. So, if Twilight did a standard 12 years of school, then Spike is 14, but if ponies have shorter school times, well, then is barely older than Spike.

So, assuming they age roughly like humans, throw in 10-12 years of schooling, a few more years of advanced studies for college level magical education and then the show began. So 15 or more isn't unrealistic. Mind you, dragons might well not age at the same pace ponies do. So its entirely possible he's still effectively prepubescent.

Implausible, unless you want to say everything before season 8 started was all one single year and they just zipped through a whole second year between S8E1 and S8E9.

That is a very low bar to cross. A lot of terrible episodes where better than most of spikes episodes.

It was a pretty bland episode, until the giant eagle appeared, then it all went to shit.

I'm not sure how productive it is to compare the age of a dragon to the age of a pony. It's been shown that dragons can live for over 1000 years, so a teenage dragon is probably still less mature than a teenage pony.

I would have been hyped to see this episode if it were maybe 5 years ago. Now I just didn't really feel anything.

I don't think Applejack has any really ambitious goals out of working on the farm and ignoring the fact that Granny Smith is not even senile, Pinkie Pie? she is basically some sort of Patch Adams to the town and she even keeps elaborate profiles in her party cellar, the only thing that went odd was her inability to accept Maude's bf at first.

Applejack's big thing is family. She got a whole extra clan she's related to.

Pinkie… well… she's been making friends since season 1. She's had time spent with her sisters, but she really needs more to show what's behind the party. She's pretty damn insecure, and beyond Party of One, they haven't really dealt that deeply with it.
