Honestly I've thought hard about anything to say about this but have come up with little. It's great that we're getting a Celestia episode, but once again instead of her being the 1000-plus year old demigod and all that entails, we get someone's mom. I really do miss my little ponies in a big, mysterious fantasy land. This "it's just like the world we know but horses" thing is a real drag.

Oh well, let's see how this goes.

I hope that Celestia gives up classical acting in frustration and decides to do method instead. Then she gets stuck in character for the rest of the day as she tries to do her normal princess stuff.

spoiler alert for those who havent watched the leak

I think Celestia and Twilight's interaction at the end of the episode is the biggest person-to-person moment we've ever had from those two, at least as far as I can remember. All other interactions between them have either been much more formal or much more inconsequential. I liked the episode if for nothing else than just that. Celestia has tried to get Twilight to think of her more as an equal ever since she got wings, but I think this is the first time Twilight is really forced to see Celestia as a person and not a mentor-figure. That's the sort of character development I wouldn't expect them to attempt or even pull off this late in the game.

Twilight was a fucking pawn as usual. Any excuse to fit in a lesson.

However, I am glad to see Celestia again, even if she was acting like a teenager. Celestia is fucking adorable, and watching her just walk sets my heart on fire. If it weren't for celestia, I would give this episode a 5/10.

I believe it is time to rate the episode.

I've already given mine, so I ask you this:

Would this episode have worked better had it been a flashback episode where Celestia was young and really stupid, so that she could actually learn a lesson about learning how wrong it is to lie to friends

What the fuck am I saying… OK: I want a spin-off with Celestia and Luna when they were young adults, learning how to cope with the hardships of being princesses and also learning how to make and keep friends.

So here's the plan: I need all anons to cut off their non-dominant arms and legs and send them to me so that, collectively, we will be able to pay Hasbro and DHX to start this new series whos in?

I feel weak and hopeless. I'm not sure we can save ourselves from the show.
