**I was on /pol/ because I was at a point in life where I wanted serious political discussion, this being shortly after /pol/ harbor. 8/pol/ was fantastic at the time, it was fresh and new and basically it didn't suck. Over time, however, 8/pol/ began taking itself waaaay to seriously, beyond comfort level, so I went back to 4/pol/ cause at least it was more fun over there.
However, much to my future horror, 4/pol/ succumbed to a similar fate, just in a different direction, no thanks to the election cycle.
It was also because the other boards that weren't /v/, /b/ and /pol/ were slowed down to a near total standstill, basically becoming dump boards updated only every few days.**
Now it seems that halfchan has essentially all but disintegrated in quality now, so I find myself back here, testing the waters again, looking for something better, and thus far it seems that way.
