That wasn't the case before tho. Its just that right now, most based bronies/horsefuckers/anons/normies etc are upset at the direction the show has taken. So there is an aura of negativity in the community right now. But who knows, things might end up changing for the better. Stay positive.

What do you mean by that? You're upset you're not a big shot for doing literally nothing? If so, kill yourself. Same applies if you're getting assblasted over insults or arguments or whatnot. However, I do agree in the sense that nowadays the pony community has shifted much too far into insular practices & drama. There's a whole entire world behind-the-scenes, a network of people who know each other. I hate it, I'm absolutely fucking sick of it. It's worse than highschool, the only thing comparable is a majority-female workplace. Fandom's been around too long, there's a meta and a laundry list of caveats associated with everything, and honestly, most people in the scene are insufferable in some way or another anyways. I can make a couple buddies in a day if I put myself out there in real life, but the only option in this community is to slowly worm your way into someone else's long-standing real-name-basis clique.

Nobody likes anybody else right now, because nobody is having any fun. The slow, agonizing death of the show through seemingly endless divisive changes as well as the collapse of chan culture in the wake of moot taking the donations and running away to Mootxico have completely gutted what built early on. Its a heavy situation for sure. But I refuse to give up. We've endured too much garbage to just hand in the towel now. I'd rather remain positive and try to make something good out of a bad situation. Even if we don't succeed, fuck it, atleast we tried right? And trying usually is half the battle anyway.

This, many of the other boards have a superiority complex. They're "different/special" thus automatically better. The problem with that line of thinking is that it divides our entire community apart even more. You're essentially pitting fags against one another for no real reason. That's why I prefer /pone/ as all are welcome here as long as you're serious with your posts. Good luck posting any thing remotely "left" wing in mlpol for example. They will chew you out. On /pone/ you can post whatever. Both "left" and "right" wing stuff is fine. I think remaining open is key.

Funny, I've always felt it to be the other way around. I looked up one day and realized the only interaction I had with the furry fandom was either through commissions or boring, repetitive RP. At least with ponies, there's always something to talk about, some part of the universe to discuss.
