This. I'm so happy the two-parter opened with that catastrophic magic accident that sucked both Twilight's wings AND Starlight Glimmer into a void, destroying both forever.

And wow, what a twist! The nuChangelings were evil after all, and the retarded gay bug look was just there to fool us. Bravo, writers! The war between Celestia (who was given important speaking roles as well as deep character development throughout the episode) and Queen Chrysalis was spectacular.

Gosh, I can't wait to see what this season's world-building will do. But it'll be hard to top the IDW comics, which are so well written.
