Come up with a reusable set of criteria that you use to rate every episode. Judge every episode by those standards you set. Rarely deviate from them. People dont have to agree with you on everything, but they should know when watching one of your videos how they'll like an episode based on how you liked it and the fact that you always rate them a certain way.

Most important thing I'd like to day is, be positive. People generally don't like watching shows that insult the things they like, and if you're doing this for the pony fandom then concentrating on the things you like about the episodes is bound to make your episodes worth watching.

Digibrony deserves a special mention here for something extraordinary: His videos made me like certain episodes I had actually hated before! That kind of new insights are the best possible thing any review can accomplish.

How can you know if you like something, if you can't apply any kind of critical thinking to it?

This is how you end up with hasdrones and people defending episodes like MMC and the one where the CMC got their cutiemarks.

If you want to make critiques of the show that anyone else gives a shit about, you must either be funny, or insightful, and you can't be the latter if you've decided in advance that you love everything in the show and that its the height of apostasy to dislike episodes.
