I've wanted to make a real playable Ace Attorney style poni game for the longest time.

No crossover shit because that's simply too autistic.

I can draw alright, I'm working on it, but I can't code for nothin'. I also have no experience writing scripts.

So oh well.

Don't even talk to me about that trash. Voice acting is a terrible idea, and it doesn't capture the suspense or logic puzzles of the AA series in the least. Which is a real shame since the AA:I games were fantastic

I just started Phoenix Wright back up. I have this bad habit of getting two or three cases in and dropping it and subsequently losing the save file. At this point I half drop it because the second case is way too annoying to do on its own let alone replays. I’m hopeful to break the curse this time.

Honestly, the only important cases in AA1 are the 1st and 4th and 5th

In AA2 you can skip right to the 4th case, coming from a big fan of the series.

AA3 is fairly solid all the way through, with a fantastic story arc.

AA4, well… it tries something different, and it's got some cool parts. The filler is extra boring though.

AA5 I haven't played but I hear it's just good.

AA6 is fukken great IMO, my favorite since 3. That climax though, damn.

That's what made me want to write up a similar kind of game. The player makes an enormous leap in logic to a startling realization, without any direct clues, but the seed was planted there by subtle hints all along.

that Trixie intro cackle. Suddenly an even worse audio codec. One of the better VAs, but the crackle gives it a nice jarring flair, kind of like Trixie in general.
