I honestly can't say for sure. All I know is all the people at my workplace and around me are saying they wanna see it as well as most casuals on social media, mostly all saying they want to take their kids or wanna see it with their gfs, and nobody seems to mention Blade Runner. Only place I see mention of Blade Runner is on twitter hashtags and forums specifically made by fans, whilst MLP shit is showing in even off-topic locations. Even /tv/ had several threads on MLP.

Although, I should mention that the presence of Harrison Ford might be troublesome. Sure, he's an uppity oldfag now, but he's trending now more thanks to Disney's garbage, so even collegefags and youngfags may want to see the film just to see the {Current Year} "improvement" of Blade Runner.

I will say, as one of the fans of the original Blade Runner, that I am not overly keen on seeing a sequel to a movie that was based on a book. Furthermore, the original is one of those films that does not get dated. Blade Runner does not need a sequel, as the original still looks fantastic.

They always do that shit with superheros. How many goddamn Batman and Spiderman reboots does the world need? That should be generational at the most frequent. I feel confident in saying that people don't want the same characters' origin stories over and over and over again. If I want to see Batman's origin I have Michael Keaton, and if I want Spiderman I have Toby Maguire.
