I'm fortunate in all honesty. Without that jazz, I would've fallen in to the roleplay lot.

I didn't get in there because I had the audacity to keep from making snowflakes. Every time I tried, I'd be irrelevant, ignored, or mocked. To be fair, the character was designed to be mocked, so mockery was fine. He was sort of a comedic character in that way. A bit of a bullheaded straight man, challenging the stupidly cliche anime-tier situations with the density of slade.

Still, the inevitable result was that the edgelords looking for more serious business with their superninjaassasins took offense.

I'll give you guys my main OC's backstory.

Shadow Spade

Age: ?

Race: Alicorn

Looks: Black mane and coat. White eyes. Often wears a black ceremonial robe.

Story: Born on Nightmare Night by an eldritch, mystic ritual conjured by monks, Shadow was given a special body to manipulate Elseworld magic. During his teenage years, the Royal Guard stormed his hut and murdered all the monks. They charged Shadow with suspicion of witchcraft and sentenced him to life imprisonment in Canterlot's catacombs. There he remained bound by enchanted chains with a broken horn and ripped wings for 1000 years. A hivemind of shades called Elseworld spirits manipulated events in Equestria from the sidelines, which led to Discord being freed from stone. He found Shadow, chained and dying, and restored his horn and wings, hoping to spread chaos by freeing him. Instead, Shadow broke his bonds and viciously murdered the entire royal guard save one, and fled to the Everfree Forest. There, he found the Elseworld spirits, who warned him of a great, unforeseen evil: Mary Sues. Undergoing the trials of the Elseworld, he became Master of the Elseworld, and champion of the spirits. He deemed it necessary to recruit the strongest Mary Sues and Gary Stus across the omniverse, and make them his secret society: the Sons of Spade. Because Elseworld magic rips ponies apart by conjuring its magics, Shadow can use it via his ethereal body. However, he suffered a 'curse' where constant inter-dimensional travel warped his body to that of an anthro. Plus, using his magic on canon creatures mortally wounds him. He can kill Mary Sues and Gary Stus almost effortlessly, but relies on his physical body should he have to hurt canon characters.
