Not necessarily, unless its a shit larp(likely if I'm being honest I just enjoy such puzzles) we should have all the data we need its just a matter of finding the right 256 bits. The first 256bit key was(contrary to OP's suggestion of Black=1) the SHA256sum of the key image rather than the Black=1/White=0 bits. However I suspect the Black/White bits will come into play at some point if there are even further layers.
