He's saying drop out of society, not drop out of school. Go off grid and off radar, stop trying to "succeed" by impressing the bosses.
School is stupid anyway. Less than 10 minutes actual teaching per hour. It's mostly about learning to sit down, shut up, do as you're told, inhibit self-expression, and tolerate horrific levels of "security" and control. You'll learn more by using sites like Duolingo and reading books. But you won't have papers to show it so the bosses won't let you have jobs using these skills. Einstein says the only time he wasn't learning was when he was in school.
