BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (TND) — There was an unusual situation after a high school football game when the band director for one of the schools was taken from the field to jail.
Johnny Mims, from Minor High School outside Birmingham, Ala., was arrested at Jackson-Olin High School on Thursday night.
Birmingham police said officers were clearing out the stadium after the game when they noticed both school bands were still playing music.
The bands were asked to stop performing so students and other ticketholders would leave the stadium.
Authorities said Jackson-Olin's band stopped performing, but Minor's did not comply.

Paramedics treated Mims at the stadium and then got him checked out at a hospital, which police said is protocol.
Then, from the hospital, officers took the band director to jail where he was booked and then released on bond.
