and I discovered this same stupid photo was circulated back in January 2018

at the time (almost 6 years ago) the photo was being touted as a "meteor hitting Michigan" but even THAT was fake news

the earliest use of the photo appeared online in 2018, at least as far as I could tell from my brief search…
