It has become clear to me that the current pandemic has burst the market bubble in the US and the Fed's response to the burst will lead to an economic depression that may even be worse than the Great Depression.
I'll remind you that the Great Depression ended in 1939 with the start of the Second World War. Anyone who has spent more than 5 minutes studying economics will tell you the difference between these two scenarios. In the early 1930's, the government's reaction to the great depression was to cut as much spending as possible, which is basically what everyone did at that time. No one was spending money, so no one could earn money, and with no money being earned, no money could be spent. Basically this economic standstill rippled throughout the economy until everyone was affected. War was percieved by some countries as the only way to replenish financial reserves via the appropriation of spoils.
Fast forward to now; generally speaking, both of the major economic downturns which have happened over the course of the last two decades have been approached by increasing spending, either by way of bailouts, direct financial aid, or other stimulus measures. They're controversial moves, and the government has never handled the task of doling out money very well, but even so, it does work to a certain extent.
Not to say that I advocate for gibs, but if you give the majority of people under the poverty line any sum of money at all, they are likely to spend it frivolously on things like game consoles and booze. This money goes directly into the pockets of the producers, and it's used to keep people employed. It's better than a corporate bailout, because the jew at the head of the company isn't able to just take the money and run; it has to soak through the entire supply chain before it gets to him.
I think the most important thing to mention is that people still have the money and the jobs they had before the coronavirus BS, it's just that at the current point in time, they aren't as able to spend it as much as they were before, as restaurants, bars, theaters, and many other businesses are being forced to close for the short-term, and many other businesses running at limited capacity. When the restrictions are lifted, people will go right back to their daily lives, working, earning, and spending just like they did before.
TLDR; we won't get war because we have a better understanding of economics now and also because people still have money/income, they just aren't allowed to spend it like they did before.
