I'd love to get your opinion on Hegel's Absolute Idealism vs Whitehead's Process Philosophy/Theology. I hardly ever see comparisions against Process and this seems like an area of overlap I'd like to explore.

I really know nothing about Whitehead's philosophy even though I was interested in it for a while before I read Hegel.
I read a book excerpt last year from a book comparing both projects on topics. It gave me the impression that Whitehead's project was not coherent in total due to its atomist presupposition and weird ad hoc god plus the whole prehension thing about events not being clear. I may bother with his stuff someday, but I far prefer Hegel's process (becoming) focus and style better.
Hegel is basically one concept, the Absolute/Freedom, being completely derived and described in natural instances.
