If we have a portion of the divine in us, why is it that religion -as it is taught in the day-to-day life of any neighborhood in the world- seems to distance us so much from sophia and keep us in a kind of vacuum of interpretative superficiality lacking in depth?

Is secularism the problem or is it perhaps that is contrary to various interests that as human beings we approach to the divine sophia from any religion, teaching or self-learning?
