So what will happen when everyone's driving an electric car? All of the heavy rules and regulations will be transferred to electric cars.
All this is before you mention that efficiency affects performance, or that friction in the exhaust systems causes higher engine temperatures, or that ethanol additives in the fuel mixture causes stratification and lubrication losses in addition to damaged seals and gaskets…
What's worse is that it does not have to be this way. From what I've heard in some other thread, vehicle insurance is not mandatory in New Zealand. Motorcycles under 150cc didn't even need to be registered in Sweden or Japan until the 80's. Germany still doesn't have a national speed limit.
