That's pretty good advice and goes for a lot of things. For instance, you don't need to sleep 12 hours a day if that's a problem for you. Or you don't actually need caffeine to wake up. And you don't actually need to eat something sweet. You just liked doing it for a while, made yourself need it, and can make yourself not need it but will probably be more unpleasant to quit than it was pleasant to start.

If anything, by your own logic, your wanking away and not producing any fruits is what is actually what is useless. Eg: you're fooling your organism into conformism and not seek real reproduction.
