I started four days early and failed four days early, resulting in a new PB of 30 days.
>do you understand the need for nofap?
Now I view it as part of a lifestyle. It did very little standalone during the times I couldn't work out / didn't have to focus. Taking a break from porn has a much bigger effect, and working out is again bigger than that.
>if you failed… did you feel how bad it was afterwards?
No. It was a good nut, and negative feelings (especially feelings of insufficiency) are fuel for addictions, anyway, so I don't even feel bad for enjoying it. Aftereffects like what you describe are also less than noticeable. In fact, today was an exceptionally productive day for me.
>if you succeeded, do you feel the nervous energy etc.
Even if I couldn't last the actual NNN, I did 30 days so I think I can answer here, too, and the answer is no. I'd say working out has way better effects in isolation. And generalizing from that, the core issue is mental and physical discipline, and in that picture, nofap is one of many smaller rewards stemming from that discipline.
But, this is comparing to a baseline of once every four days, so people who fap twice a day would experience a bigger difference.
